While the next couple of years is a mystery to everyone, Miami's 2007 draft will have a profound impact on whether or not this team will get any better anytime soon. If you look at the past Miami drafts. Let's face it we don't draft well. While 2005 looks to be an exception and i won't give credit to Saban for that draft (Brown,Roth, and Crowder were mock draft 1st rounders) My grandma could have drafted those players. Ok back to the topic, When was the last time Miami actually had a GOOD draft? 97? 99? I cannot remember saying wow do you remember that draft? We need our 2007 draft to be better. I don't know about you but there has been too many scratches on my head when the dolphins have picked in the past. Hopefully, The 2007 draft won't be one. We need this draft to be good!!!

Yup I agree with ya 100%

We need Dan Mozes which i feel well get now with Cam in charge. Center is a position we need to fill ASAP. 1st round we need a solid LB or WR Daunte is our QB of the future and if not looks like Cleo Lemon will get us by this year....:( who knows cant be any worse than Joey...

Lets hope we can get the O line fixed before we get a solid QB in the draft

I say if Troy Smith or Chris Leak is aviable in the 4th we take a shot at him....

How do you not give Saban credit for the 2005 draft??

It was a great draft bro... and Saban did a great job that year...

Why? Because everyone and there mother could have pick Roth, Crowder and Brown with those picks. I guarantee you there names were in more than 75 percent of 1st round mock drafts issued!!!

It sure was a good draft. Ronnie Brown is a soon to be complete stud, Channing Crowder will start for 8-10 years here, and Travis Daniels can be a pretty good nickle for a while and may eventually jump into a starter role. We also got Matt Roth who has done nothing but impress me so far in his backup roles. I love Kevin Carter opposite Jason Taylor, but he may need to go to make room for Roth.

I just realized something. only reason why all 3 are very solid is b/c they were all at one poin ta first round pick. RB stayed a 1st round pick but ROth was a mid rounder in the 15th range but dropped and crowder was a 1st rounder and rated number 1 ILB but his issues off the field and injuries dropped ihim to round 3. If they were just ur average jo's trying to be good i doubt Saban would have found a diamond in teh rough type of guy ala other teams.

he did find travis daniels but he already coached him on his team so i guses it cancels out but i ahve noticed that many teams that get a DB in round 3-4 are fast as hell but saban managed to get one thats decent speed so to say.

I rather have Kalil in round 2 if hes there then mozes. Kalil is owning up the LINE in the sr bowl and sepcially tank tyler.

Finding impact players with the first two picks is a crap shoot. I think the Dolphins success will come from those selected in later rounds. It seems to be the way things have always worked out for them. While everyone would love to see one of the top ranked players in a Dolphins uniform, I'll be watching out for the guys that aren't being talked about on Mel Kipers board.

I see your point. However if Jason Allen, the Wright boys, and Toledo all come on strong in 07, then maybe the drafting wasn't so bad. Besides, Fred Evans has played well for a 7 round pick and Mitchell and Poole may yet make next years roster. We should have kept Aromashodu. I don't think they gave that kid a shot. They had it in their minds to with Russell and we ended up cuttin him.

2005 draft rocked the house........ when all is said and done i believe we will have atleast 4, above average to high quality starters from it. I'll take another one of those !!

Well it's time for Randy to step up, we're do for good things to go our way, between the things that happend to this team with Ricky, to Jimmy quitting and now Nick doing the same. It's about time things got better.

I agree, I don't know why people keep saying we haven't had good drafts, we did have a good 05 draft. I also think 06 will be better then some think.
Allen, Hagan, Evans and Wright.

I would like Gaines Adams in the first

if he's there and we haven't addressed OLB in FA than you gotta take him, the guy is going to be a great pass rushing OLB and we would be lucky if he fell to us
