Well there you have it. That would suck if we lost the home opener.

"Week 1: vs. Tennessee Titans, Sept. 9, 1 p.m.

Prediction: Titans 24, Dolphins 17. Marcus Mariota’s three all-purpose touchdowns ruin the first Dolphins season opener played at home since 2014.

Week 2: at New York Jets, Sept. 16, 1 p.m.

Prediction: Dolphins 31, Jets 12. Sam Darnold might someday be a star. But the Jets’ quarterback play on this day is the same old, same out (i.e. terrible).

they must have the amazing kreskin working for them to predict with so much detail!

Dan Patrick this morning said we were the quintessential 8-8 team (paraphrasing). Can't blame him given last 6-7 years.

He also made it clear he preferred Teddy B. over Tannehill. Not a crazy take necessarily but i'd love to see it made to look dumb come week 8 or so.

Hard to disagree without applying some major optimism that defies the results we've seen year in year out.

It's going to be very hard to come up with more wins than that. AFC will be very competitive this season , top to bottom.

Like always I don't put much stock on any of that stuff. Can't blame them for predicting yet another 8-8 type of season thought but that's why they play the games. We'll just see what happens.

8-8 would be a gift.

"Any game that you predict the phins will score >20 is just crazy. 4 wins at best and hopefully a new regime."

One from the comment section...Its actually hard to argue against because the Fins coaching staff love some Fg's

The disagreements on predictions, for the most part, can be categorized as debates over the unknowns. How will Kilgore, Sitton, Albert, Sick, Harris, Phillips, KMc, Fitz and others play? Will Tannehill play like the last half of '16 or first half? What of Gase/Burke and play-calling? There are quite a few more. Those unknowns can put Miami at 4-12 or 11-5. I've said for a while some of the unknowns will fall in Miami's favor, some against. Splitting the difference, I get 8-8. As for the home opener (and the 1st 4 games), those fall under "unknown."
