In an age of quarterbacks checking down at the first hint of a pass rush and offenses using the short passing game popularized by the so-called West Coast offense and wide receivers piling up catches while averaging 12 to 14 yards per catch, Evans makes his bread downfield. And nobody knows it more than the Dolphins, whom Evans scorches twice a year to the tune of 22.2 yards per catch and one touchdown per game.

His 2008 numbers -- his 24 catches have him tied for 46th in the NFL, but his 21.7 yards per catch is No. 1 among the top 50 receivers -- belong back in the days when the Bills and the Dolphins knocked heads in the old American Football League.

''He's an excellent pattern runner, route runner,'' Dolphins defensive coordinator Paul Pasqualoni said about Lee.

`He double-moves a great deal, and he just flat-out can run by you. You have to make sure that you have position on him. You don't want to lose leverage on Lee Evans, and you want to make sure, if you can, you're in good position to make a play. Otherwise, you're going to give him a chance to make another big play.''

Exactly the kinds of plays in which Evans specializes.

His TD from Losman in the Cards game was vintage Lee!

His one-handed TD catch from Edwards against the Bolts was amazing!

I think the big reason why Lee isn't higher in receptions is that Edwards "spreads the wealth" among his receivers. His "favorite" receiver this week probably won't be his "favorite" next week and wasn't his "favorite" last week. It's hard for defenses to figure out who to cover when the QB likes to spread the ball around, and the Bills are all about winning games not padding their stats.

I don't have a problem with how they're doin' it, after all, what good are stats if you can't win the game?

Wow, I sure wish I could read how wonderful everyhting is for the Bills a little more on a Dolphin site.

This next quote was posted on a Patriots site but I believe it applys here as well.
This is still a football site and there is no rule stating you must be a Pat fan to be a member. Obviously the age thing apply's to you because you have issues with anyone but Pat fans. That's not a mature attitude is it, are you really that dumb not to believe it's the same on all football sites?? I'm a member of finheaven and there are Pat, Bill, Jet and just about all the teams in the NFL represented as members of Finheaven! I don't have a problem with it because I'm obviously mature enough to understand it's just the way it is, clearly you aren't.

I'm posting appropriate content in the appropriate forum.

I don't think you should be hassling anyone who is not violating the TOS. If you believe that I am in violation then report me to a MOD or an ADMIN.

Until then I would appreciate it if you would stop the harassment.

I'm sure you would have no problem if your team were 2-3 and the Pats were 5-1 and they ran to your site every single chance they had to remind you how wonderful their team is playing. You would just be so greatful they were keeping you in the loop.:rolleyes2:

FTP is this not in the Beast of the East forum?

Yes I think it is which means Bills, Jets, Pats and Fins stuff is able to be posted here

Hmmm, well then why is there never anything posted in this forum negative about the Bills by Bill fans? That's news, and I'll promise you on this DOLPHIN SITE, we'd be much more interested in reading the bad news about the Bills, then the good news. Funny you never see Bill fans in a rush to post that stuff in this forum. The only thing you ever see Bill fans interested in posting in this forum is news that makes the Bills look good, it's done intentionally and you and I and everyone here knows it.

So lets stop playing stupid games here, this type of posting is calculated and posted as a slap in the face and you know it. Infact you'll see Bill fans in this forum posting negative news about the Dolphins, Jets and Pats, but you'll never see them post a negative word about the Bills. I guess we're just supposed to ignore the obvious because it's "the Beast of the east forum"?
