The Dolphins went 2 for 3 against the Saints and are now 9 for 11 on the year (81.8%)

That ranks them as #1 in efficiency, Tied for 4th in Red Zone TD's
The 11 attempts puts them tied for 20th in Red Zone attempts an area in need of improvement.

But they sure are efficient when they get there.

The Broncos are right behind us with 13 for 16 (81.25%)

We have our work cut out for us this week. The Ravens Red Zone D is ranked tied for 4th at 33%
The have only allowed 3 Red Zone TD's all season.

Watching the Buffalo game last night enforced that. When the Bills got in the Red Zone they stalled and had to kick FG's.
The TD's they did score were on plays from 20 yards out or so.

We are going to need some big plays when we get on their side of the field.

After going 1 for 3 against Ravens we have dropped back to 2nd overall. Now 10 for 14 (71.4%)
Broncos are #1 with 19 for 23 (82.6%)

This seems like a feel good stat to me

It's a stat that is refreshing because we struggled with getting into the endzone from the redzone under the Henne/Sparano era. Its funny though, Henne would get us to the redzone at a fairly good clip and then just die . . . now Tannehill can get us in the endzone from the redzone but the offense is struggling to get to the redzone as consistently.

Still 2nd in Red Zone scoring percentage after week 7.
We are now 13 of 18 on the year which is only topped by Denver.

We are 5th in Red zone TD's with 13

We are 16th in Red Zone trips with 18 (3 per game)

The red zone trips has been getting better through out the year. Last year we only had 2.4 per game.

god dang qb what the hell ryan??? oh wait...a stat that says the qbs taking advantage of the red zone opportunities we get with tds...

burn it

Miami has scored in the 20's for every game but the one against NOLA. That has to be a sign of progress/good news.

The previous regime thought they were playing blackjack and would stand when they got to 17 or 18.

While the stat does show that Ryan Tannehill is very efficient when we get to the red zone it also shows that if we don't get to red zone we don't score TD's.

We have 13 red zone TD's and only 1 TD outside the red zone. Hell the defense has scored 1 TD (as many as Ryan) from outside the red zone.

That is not a good stat.

understood...but look up hennes red zone td efficiency #s when he was here and see how much different it is with tannehill even though a certain someone will tell you they are essentially the same qbs...

not hardly

Yep, big difference from Henne 2010 and Tannehill in 2013. Henne had 18 red zone scores (30th) in 34 attempts (31st) for a 53% red zone percentage (14th)
We had 26 total offensive TD's that year. That is 8 TD's scored from outside the red zone. I believe most of those were long runs rather than Henne hitting the bomb.

Tannehill definitely better at same stage of career in the red zone.

I like the red zone efficiency. Just wish the offense could move the ball into the red zone more often.

We only have 15 TOTAL TDs. That is tied for 20th in the league.

Agreed. Tannehill has mobility, is much smarter, & has a better demeanor when things get tough.
