Favre will more than likely be given every opportunity to beat the Dolphins through the air. Miami’s retooled front posted 14 sacks in the month of August. They had 24 all of last year!

Miami sacked opposing QB’s 14 times in preseason to lead the NFL (NYJ was #2 with 13).

Look I know it is preseason and nobody seems to give any credit, but when you are a 1-15 team any progress matters. I was reading Ted Sunquist keys to the game for Sunday's game and check out this stat. We led the Pre-season in Sacks. That is a nice stat regardless, man I really hope we can bring old man Farve to the ground this weekend.

dont worry...we'll sack farve AT LEAST 2 times...but Im suspecteing 3-4 sacks...in this game alone..I think Joey Porter is going to get 2 sacks,Ferguson's getting one...and here a suprise....I truely think we'll do a suprise rush, and get na DB after Farve(maybe W. Allen or Y. Bell),but its going to have to be somebody fast, cause when you rush a DB,some WR is going to be open...and you cant allow that:shakeno:

ppl can say what they want about not reading to much into preseason, but it directly reflects the current mood and demeanor of this team right now, and that is of one that is ready to play some football

They say Pre-season doesnt matter look at the Redskins last night, they looked just like they did in Pre-season. In fact the game itself looked like a pre-season game.

I don't get why people are so surprised at this? I have stated since during last season that the only reason our DEFENSE sucked so bad last season was because of our "INJURIES"!

We have not only Yeremiah Bell, R Hill, A Goodman, V Holiday, and C Crowder back...but we got a healthy Joey Porter back replacing Jason Taylor(who didn't look all that dominant last night) and replaced Noah at NT with Ferguson and added Langford, Merling, Starks to the DL... Odoyele replaces Zach, and have UPgraded our special teams with Nate Jones, R Torber, C Anderson, and have a better Kicker in Carpenter.

Add all this to a good QB in Pennington and a good prospect in Henne...Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams back healthy....the TE/WR corps will be much improved because they wont have John Beck and Cleo Lemon throwing to them....but Pennington and/or Henne throwing them the ball.

No brainer, we can get back to that 9-7 first season for Saban. Oh, and of course, our whole coaching staff and managerial staff is 'much' improved.

10-6, easy!

Last year you guys had 10 sacks in preseason and 30 in the reg season. Preseason means absolutely nothing.

I think that the more important thing is that they were spread out position-wise. they came from everywhere D-line, Defensive ends and Line-backers which is great we can get pressure anyway and anytime we want

It's hard to bring in new coaches and new schemes and have success right away, I think you guys are expecting a little too much out of your D in Week 1.

see injury list from last year from preseason to reg season

You guys were pretty healthy early in the year and didn't win a game. I'm sure injuries played a role in 1-15(they play a role on every bad team) but that's not why you stunk and it's not why you haven't made the postseason since 2001.

Preseason stats are meaningless, all that matters in preseason is coming out healthy.

LOL I don't necessarily look for Junc in posts but everytime a fellow Fin fan posts a thread about something positive for us to look at, Junc has to come in and sweep the carpet out from under everyone's feet.

For shame

I think you guys might be expecting a little to much from Farve and your Defense.
