Miami had a glaring hole at OLT and there is a run at OT in the 1st round. Nothing much would be left at #32.
 
i whole heartedly agree with you there,i'm watchin the draft like all the rest of you,and OT's are moving out at a rapid pace off the draft boards.
 
I hope so because the NFL Network kept showing highlites of Gholston and another end from Florida killing Jake!
 
As well as LBers But i'm glad we have Jake now hoping for Dan Connor and or Bradon Flowers. Sweed would be nice also.
 
Now even all of the people who were against picking Jake Long have to be glad we did. We would have spent yet another season allowing sack after sack after missing out on all of these LTs. Sam Baker sucks.

as i recall,Jake handled Harvey quite well in their Bowl game and Gholston only had what...1 sack on Jake during their games against each other.
 
2 weeks ago I said alot of teams have needs at OT, and alot of tackles will be taken and we won't have much to choose from at 32. I said that in like 20 threads.

And people were calling me crazy for even suggesting such a thing.

Well the draft today is proving that alot of teams do indeed need tackles and O-linemen. Thank god we picked J Long
 
And there isn't one team that took an Olinemen that wouldn't trade theirs for ours, I'll guarantee it.

I mean the run for O-linemen has gotten so ridiculous that Sam freakin Baker was just taken at 21. TWENTY ONE ! And a team TRADED UP for him. LOL :sidelol:

After the Gholston pick, they also played a clip of Jake driving Goul back into the LBs.

Long had two sacks his entire career. It will be nice to have an OLT who does not give up that many a game!
 
This is exactly what most mocks said would happen, only worse! I can't think of any mock that had Sam Baker in the first. So much for the short sighted belief from some here that you could get a quality tackle in the 2nd!
 
This could be the most important observation of the day.

If we took Chris, we'd be SCREWED, cause all the quality OTs are gone, and its only pick #22. Don't be shocked if even more come off the board.

I was wrong and thought at least Sam Baker would be around at #33.
