I think he is the only man that can save the Miami Dolphins now. Look at what Elway is doing in Denver.

I could see it. If Marino hadn't taken the job for like 10 days and then quit when he realized it involved actual work some years ago.

marino is retarded

have you people ever heard him talk

i understand he is a legend down here but mentally the guy took one too many shots to the head when he played

If he were in a similar role to Elway's with a legit GM behind him I think it would be a great idea. He could definitely help with negotiations.

Yeah this stunt happened in 2004 and quickly ended. That was the start of the dreadful stretch.

Why would Marino be our GM? Great players don't automatically make great GM's - in fact, few do.

Dan's got a great gig now - he works one day a week and makes millions being a talking head on tv. This is the easiest job in the world. He sits around the studio with his buddies watching the games and then is asked for 20 seconds of commentary.
During the week he hangs with the family, plays some golf, checks on his business ventures and counts his money.

I like Dan as a player but as a person he is a douchebag. I remembered vividly going to an autograph signing event with a friend and his son. We waited in like for autographs and he turned down signing autographs by the time his son was next and pretty much look at his dad and said no more autographs. His son looked super sad over it. Furthermore Dan rarely has anything positive to say about the fins. He picks us to lose every time before games on Sundays. He doesn't want anyone beating his Miami records. And to think he doesn't even har a ring.

That's an interesting story. I lived in Miami from 2004-2006...moved out there for work from Vegas. I saw Dan on the Beach one day and really thought hard about approaching him. I weighed the situation out for a few minutes because I really didn't want to disturb him. He was alone. No family or friends around. I felt like it was an ok time to go and possibly get a handshake....no autograph request.

I walked up to him and extended my hand and he looked up to me as he was sitting down. I said something like - "Mr. Marino I've watched you since I was a kid growing up in Vegas and" - He interrupted me and just said "I'm busy" as he stared off at nothing. I was pretty put off and embarrassed. I pretty much just told him 'thank you for your time' and walked away. I loved watching the man throw the football through the years, but unfortunately in my eyes, the man is a prick.
