Add blue chip WR to our shopping list for next year.

We have none on our roster.

Chambers is on pace for 939 receiving yards (doesn't this look familiar). His major weaknesses are toughness and consistency.

Hopefully Saban is able to bring in a gamebreaker next year...anyone have the short list of who may be available via free agency?

I agree with you, however you know you will take major heat for this.

Chambers needs some solid coaching...a mentor. If he can get his mental state straight, I believe he will be almost unstoppable. His skills are uncanny. He is simply a great athlete that can make huge plays. He seems to have issues with some pretty basic things like running a pettern and knowing when to turn around and not slowing down.....etc. All those things are coachable but raw talent isn't. He HAS the raw talent. He just needs someone to bring it out of him.
You know how awesome Chambers would be if Wes Welker's brain was surgically implanted in Chris Chamber's head???!!!!! WOW! Now there would be a receiver!

give chambers a running game, o line, and qb, and then re-visit this topic
What exactly did Booker have to get 1000 yards? I love Chambers, but he just doesn't seems to have the intensity you like to see in a #1. Hell, I would take a couple taunting calls for him to show intensity.

Ah, yeah. Does it bother anybody that Frerrotte goes 58 minutes without putting the ball anywhere near Chambers and then the backup comes in and hits him in stride for the longest touchdown of the year with the first pass?

It should.

Chambers can not be evaluated until we get somebody, anybody, who is capable of hitting him more than twice a game.

Gus is less accurate than Fiedler was. Look at the game again. He's the problem, not Chambers.

Yeah, they are coachable in maybe your 1st or 2nd season...but Chambers is not a rookie man. He has been in the league long enough to pull his crap together and to HAVE been the dominant player everyone expected.

There are no more excuses for him. He is what he is.

It will only bother me if Sage doesn't start a few games this year.

It's obvious that Gus was nothing more than a stop-gap this year, but he hasn't played well since the Carolina game. Put Sage in and see what he can do. Sage has played in 2 games the past two years and has two long touchdown passes to Chambers. Isn't that what we want? Just give Sage a chance.....it's not like the Dolphins are going anywhere this season anyway.

That pass by Sage was not an accurate pass. It could have easily been defended if the CB 's mind was in the game.

Same excuse every year for this guy. If we keep falling for the same BS every year, we will never get better at that position.

I'm going to agree with you. I still like him, and I think there is chance for SOME improvement, but I also think we've more or less seen the extent of his talents. Receiver is one of our BIGGEST priorities next year.....along with just about every other position on the team.

This is the reason why I so very very badly wanted Plaxico Burress. Burress was the one guy we could have brought in, and he would have AUTOMATICALLY forced Chambers to the #2 WR

chambers is the man..he catches everything thrown to him...he is #1

just dont have anyone who can do this....
