Holliday at DT in a 3-4? No way, hes a DE.
Traylor is the clogger you mentioned already. We may need to pick up a DT to develop until Traylor retires. Alan Branch will be gone at 9 and Okoye would be great, but our immediate needs are elsewhere. You would hope that the first round pick will play the first year.

I don't think platooning a first year DT with Traylor would be a bad thing. Then again, we don't know about either of the Wrights yet either.

i rather stick with the young guys we have and develop now and address a more pressing need at 9 like oline or wr or db

wasnt traylor released though? or no?

even though, if alan branch is there at 9, hes my pick right now. and then whichever WR drops to our first 2nd rounder.

We still have a number of young D-Line guys, that we need to see about. Fred Evans, Rodrique Wright, Manuel Wright, Chase Page, Matt Roth, etc.

But with Kevin Carter gone and Traylor old and injury-prone, we could probably still use another young d-lineman or two, unless *all* of the above guys pan out, which realistically, probably won't happen.

Fred Evans

Manny Wright

Steve Fifita

Can these guys really be our nose tackles??????????????????????????

Very unlikely Branch slides to us in the draft.

What about Marcus Thomas???????

What about Paul Soliai???????????

Are there any possibilities in free agency????????????

Truck, wright and evans should do the job until next years draft....unless branch iss there and quinn is gone

Between the young ones I think Rod Wright has the most potential and Evans is a good change of pace guy. Manny wont know until we see what he is really all about, but he certainly can play the role with his size.

I agree totally with the need! I'm not sure Evans or Wright are the answer. IMO Quinn gets taken before us at #9 so maybe Branch does fall some. I think we go DT or DE if a top guy falls. If not we go secondary IMO. BUT if a starting caliber DT is available that would be gold in the 1st rd.

I think Miami should put feelers out in Pittsburgh and see if Casey Hampton is availble and what it would take to get him. Just to see.

LT and NT are both serious needs. I would rank them 1 and 2 respectively. Therefore, I would draft them in that order respectively. I love drafting BPA but we may have to go need this year...at least early. I will say that there will be greater talent at DT at #9 than LT but you can't let Levi Brown go if he is available at #9 which he really should be (I don't think he's worth the #9 but we need to take him).
