Seattle just cut him. Sure.

But he's better than Jamar Taylor on his worst day.

In Miami he'd probably be a starter.

He's not a legit corner in all elements of the game, but he plays with better instincts than Taylor. Not a great corner, but in Miami he'd be a starter.

Miami has had the worst LB, CB and Safety (not named Reshad Jones) of any team forever, it seems like.

Picking up a guy who can help with the last few games of the season is a no-brainer, imo.

P.S. Mark me down as a guy who would have cut Jamar Taylor last year, no questions asked. Do not pass go, do not collect 200 dollars. Be gone from wasting a roster spot as soon as possible.

Clogging roster spots with players who will never get it as long as they are in the league -- J. Taylor, D. Thomas, etc. -- is one way to rapidly improve a roster: the question mark guy you put in his place just may actually be a player.

Dallas Thomas hasn't even been our worst guard. Its like fans just read threads and then keep repeating it. He hasn't been our worst guard in like... 10 weeks.

Cary Williams just takes up room. Hes not a starter on this team. Hes not a starter in the NFL. Why do you bother? We're not playing for playoffs - sorry to burst your bubble - but we are at least going to find out what we have. We're going to let Bobby McCain learn on the job. We're going to see if Lippett can learn the position better, or if he's simply an athlete destined for a practice squad.

We need secondary help - I'm thinking at least 2 new starters via free agency - and we desperately need depth at boundary corner. Slot we are fine.

Yes he has...and is.

I'd still keep Jamar around at see if he can be better at FS.

You have Dallas Thomas as a worse guard than Billy Turner right now? Jeez, thats really bad.

If you listened to Omar you'd think D. Thomas is a great guard. Naturally, he wants to minimize the bad OL narrative so when JuWan comes back, he can kicked the anti-Tannehill articles up full throttle.

I want a Top 10 pick. Adding pieces right now isn't necessary. Play the season out, and get rid of the crap in the bowl after the season.

100% I think Dallas has been worse than Turner. Turner has shown signs of growth. Had a bad one last game.

Both my eyes and PFF seem to disagree with you, but more power to you.

What about Jamar Taylor makes you think he'll be anything worth keeping even at safety? Give me an actual breakdown please.

He is already 30. We don't need another CB close to social security.

Dallas Thomas hasn't even been our worst guard...

Yep. That's what you see on the field.

And that's why you don't see a need to jettison players like Taylor in favor of players who might actually work out better.

Dallas Thomas playing "better" and anointed as a worthy starter on the Miami line is like ISIS doing "better" at not murdering as many innocent people, and anointed as "Organization of the Year" for Newsweek. Just stop it, please. Stop the madness.

Get some real players in Miami on the OL, LB, CB, S, and TE and threat WRs -- Like Pittsburgh learned after losing Wallace, so they went out and got M. Bryant and M. Wheaton to pair with A. Brown. Wow. Killer WRs who put incredible pressure on Ds. Take the top off in a split second. Get some real skill players like that in Miami! A couple Martavis Bryant types to pair with Parker and Landry, a couple guards that can win at the point of attack and actually block assignments, a swing OT that can move his feet and win physical battles... can only get those kinds of players when you admit that the crap at positions is just that: crap.

Maybe some other players are "crap," but you've got to roll the dice if what you've got is definitely crap.

I think at this point in the season it's pointless to add an older below average CB . Might as well continue to give the younger guys like Bobby McCain & Tony Lippett a shot.

I mean you're not the only person with a PFF account. Maybe you have an account at another site and you're mixing it up, because Dallas has graded as the worst OG in the entire league over the course of the season. Turner has been especially better as a pass protector where he's actually been league average. I'll give you the last 2 weeks have been bad, but Billy is a much better option going forward than Dallas by any metric. I will give you that, since it's cumulative that Dallas has graded out slightly better since he joined the starting lineup. But I'll take the guy who doesn't get the QB killed.

Not much about Taylor, aside from the position is thin going forward. He was a good prospect who I liked and I'd at least attempt it. Let him Aikens and Thomas come to camp and battle it out for a backup role behind a new starter.

Also why do we want to bring anyone in? I'd bring in as many pizza drivers as possible to fill out the roster for the rest of the season.
