Miami now #1 scoring defense in the league

This D needs to get into the playoffs. Defense wins championship. And yes they are likely one and done with a raw offense but damn if it wouldn’t be interesting to see this D in the playoffs give this team a shot at some upsets.

I don't think a lot of teams want to find us playing them in the playoffs. I hope we can get healthier the rest of the year.

Minkah is a damn fool for crying to leave. It’s bitter sweet how good both this team and him became.

Um, he’s not that good. Hasn’t been especially good this season either.

Gave up some of the big plays against CIN tonight. Most notably, he was the deep safety that was totally fooled by the read option that Finley scored on.

Awesome. What a difference a year can make. Love the hustle, passion and moxy these guys bring each week.

As for the offense, we know they lag behind but if the 3 rookies on the line continue to develop, that could be huge! If Tua lives up to his billing sitting behind a line held together for a few years we could be in for some amazing years!

Fins well & truely up!

2 pro bowls?

I'm glad we moved on from his, and his mom's whining, but he is a pretty good player.

Don’t cite pro bowls to me. Jason Sanders didn’t earn a pro bowl nod after his stellar season, did he?
It’s a pathetically flawed system largely based upon name recognition.

Minkah Fitzpatrick’s performance on the field this season on the whole wasn’t pro bowl worthy. He had several poor performances. But he has a recognizable name and plays for a flagship franchise that was getting a ton of positive press most the season.

Even if PITT loses out and ends up 11-5, how much you wanna bet TJ Watt still wins DPOY for the same reasons? Even though a player like Xavien Howard will be more deserving.

Minkah is merely a good player. Nothing special, nothing great. Nothing worthy of the praise paid to him by many here at Finheaven.

The Dolphins #1 defense surely doesn’t miss him.

I believe that's what I said.

"He's a pretty good player".

No reason for anger.......

Minkah is a great example of a player our previous coaches would love. He is a freelancer. Sometimes he makes a great play. Sometimes he just gets burned. Our defense is all about discipline and unselfish play. I have said it before, but I believe the trade worked out well for both teams. We got Austin Jackson and the Steelers got a streaky playmaking FS.
