Despite the win, Miami was eliminated today due to wins by the Chargers and Jaguars.

The calculations behind this are in the long sticky thread, but in case there's any doubt or confusion:

I emailed the calculations last night to Jason Cole at the Herald. Today he emailed them to the NFL and got confirmation of their accuracy back from the Elias Sports Bureau. He was also nice enough to forward that email to me.

Miami is done. Sorry, guys!

Well thanks for your hard work. Made it rly interesting. At least we are gaining momentum and im loving it.

Meh. As long we can win the rest of our games, I don't care...

It's a moot point, but: Pittsburgh's win this week would not have eliminated us. (It would have required the Steelers to lose their final two games, though.)

Miami was done when Pitt won today. There is no way that Pitt is going to lose to Detroit and Cleveland.

Mathmatically though I still think we are alive. SD gets beat by KC and whoever they play last. KC gets beat by whoever they play after SD. Pitt gets beat by Detroit and Cleveland.

I think we are still alive but not sure.

How are they offically out? Explain that to me when SD Pitt and Miami can all finish 9-7 and KC 8-8......with miami earning tiebreakers over SD and Pitt?

I'm not quite sure how I could have made my post any simpler. The Elias Sports Bureau already confirmed what I've posted here. Unless you think I'm just making that up.
