This is a bit past due, but I want to say good luck to you Miami. You are definitely on the right path. The coaches you are receiving are top notch, and anyone who knows Parcells knows that when he hires someone, he basically tells them they must do things his way to work under him. I am very much under the impression you are going to see a Parcells coached team, not directly, but in blueprint and play. I fully expect you all to gear up to switch to a 3-4 full time in a year or two. I was worried when I saw BP take over Miami because I know his tendency to bring in former players and coaches. As soon as Jeff Ireland left, I began to sweat, and when Brian Gaine followed, I was really worried. Those guys are excellent scouts. Those two along with Parcells are the ones who made our drafts so successful the past few seasons. They are responsible for nearly all of our current team. Patrick Crayton, Marion Barber, Demarcus Ware, Marcus Spears, Chris Canty, Jay Ratliff, Kevin Burnett, etc.. are all major contributors to this team drafted by them. Not to mention keping Tony Romo around and starting him when Jerry Jones was whining that Bledsoe was the best chance to win. I'm also worried about you guys having the first pick and Jerru Jones being in love with McFadden. He actually attended one of his games in person. There is no way I see Miami drafting McFadden now that he got into legal trouble. BP won't look his way, and Jones is know for being stupid and giving up too much to acquire guys he wants. Also, keep an eye on some of our free agents. I can definitely see Miami eying our roster for upgrades. Personally I think Julius Jones is worth watching. He is an UFA and I don't see us keeping him. With McFadden out of the question for Miami, I see BP realistically bringing him in to be Ronnie's change up. Bobby Carpenter is also worth watching. Wade Phillips doesn't think he is suited to be a LB in a 3-4, but BP was high on him. I could see a trade being swung without any high price since it is obvious Phillips doesn't wanna use him, and drafted Anthony Spencer to play the same position. Either way, good luck to you Miami Dolphins. You will be a force to be reckoned with soon, and I do think you will dethrone NE.

Thanks for the kind words Cowboy's Fan....we had a post here earlier this week saying the Phins were becoming too much like the Cowboys, but I think the Cowboys have run a very smart organization over the years, and even the great teams have to go through some crappy years before they can get back on top.

We did send you Jason Garrett so you guys shouldn't mind if we took back Ireland and Sparano in return.

I really think Jerry Jones is going to go after McFadden's backup with one of their two first round picks (sorry I cannot think of the guy's name at the moment, but I think he averages about 7 yards per carry). I think this guy has more value and upside than McFadden. If we do end up trading down or first overall pick I think it has to be for more than two late first round Cowboy picks...if you throw in Marion Barber, I think I would go for it.

Carpenter is a lifetime ST er!!!

I have never been too high on Carpenter, You Cowboys can keep him!! I see him being in the same boat as Larry Izzo a special teams guru! Nothing more but maybe filling in here and there at LB!! Adequate but nothing special!!

With McFadden out of the question for Miami, I see BP realistically bringing him in to be Ronnie's change up

??? Do you mean realistically out of the question for Jones? We wont be chasing McFadden anyway IMO. McFadden isnt the trade bait he was a few weeks ago.
Carpenter is definetly worth a look. Maybe he is better than advertised.

Behind Porter, Thomas (condition unknown) Crowder (nothing special), Pope, our LB corp is average at best. I dont include JT because once again its up in the air whats happening there, even then i put him more at DE at the moment. Carpenter is worth a look.

The only history of Parcells picking a coach and running a team is the 2000 New York Jets under Al groh which looked NOTHING like a Parcells coached team. Sparano may turn out to be a great coach we have no idea but he's not going to be a puppet for Parcells and if he is that's bad news for Miami. Parcells has ALOT to prove as a man running the whole show and not coaching.

When BP takes over a tgeam as a coach you know they will be a contender before long, that ius not guaranteed in nhis current position. Obviously Miami will be alot better next year- it's hard not to be but he has alot to prove as far as building a contender w/o coaching.

Thanks C'boy Fan, and we will sure be hoping for an expected turnaround soon. Its been a long drought for us, and we're ready for some winning to take this bad taste out of our mouths.
