Miami over Chargers in draft

Can someone please tell me why the Dolphins pick over the Chargers in the draft despite having the same record with Miami having the victory in the only game they played?

strength of schedule i believe is tie breaker, with easier schedule picking 1st. that is why the chargers pick last of all the 9-7 teams. hopefully, i posted this right

It is either by strength of schedule or conference record the chargers were 9-3 against the afc we were 7-5.

Yep, the team with the easiest strenght of schedule in a tie picks first but then the rotate each round. For example if team A had the easiest SOS and team B had the 2n easiest and so on... then the picks would go like this.

the chargers were 7-5 in the conference just like us...it was done by sos.

the team with the toughest schedule picks 1st,then so on. it doesn't switch from year to year. it's always been like that for awhile. same thing next year.

well according to strength of schedule on nfl.comearlier in the year,we had the 4th hardest schedule in the nfl,so thats why i said toughest because we had a tougher schedule than the other teams we were tied with. does that make sense now?:dolphins:

The strength of schedule at the beginning of the year is based on what teams did the prior year and doesn't have anything to do with the strength of schedule at the end of this year. Based on the opponents we played and their won-lost record for the '05 year, we had a easier schedule. You can blame the teams in our division for having what the "experts" considered to be a bad year for this.
