Miami partisans get carried away.....more reason to dislike the bills

obviously they feel a little uneasy about our re-born club or they wouldnt even be talking about it

"Results in this rivalry have marked some milestone moments for the coaches. Johnson began his career with the Dolphins by dominating Buffalo, but the Bills swept him in the 1999 season, which ended in his retirement as a coach. Wade Phillips had a winning record in his career in Buffalo, but he never did better than a split with Miami. Gregg Williams went 2-4."

We have one bad year and Bills writers are calling us homers. Maybe its because history is on our side.

The local media in Buffalo who cover the bills are not Homers. They have been very critical of the bills and their GM and coaches over the last several years. The reaction to the article in question is what I would expect. Any media who says anything that is construed as negative or critical gets bashed to the high heavens on this site and considered "dolphin haters" and any medai praising the dolphins or their players is considered gospel.

What a crock of sh*t!!! :roflmao:

Just a reporter trying to create a story. He's just trying to hype the first game between the Jills and Fins this season. Nothing much there, really. Don't let it bother you. He's mostly raising questions to interest the fans.

:hmmm: Funny but I don't see articles being written by local writers on how the Bills are doing. It just proves my theory that all Bills fans are closet Dolphin fans. The weather is better, the team has a better tradition and last but not least, finding a good looking girl in Buffalo is like finding an empty KFC in Ethiopia!!

Actually it's because they have an inferiority complex.

"To help cut down that number, Saban hired one of the NFL's better offensive line coaches, Hudson Houck. "

One of the better O-line coaches? Has anyone read a single national NFL analyst describe Houck as anything but the flat out best O-line coach in the NFL?

Can someone get that articles to the fins, so it's wall material for the week we play Buf.

Journalists who are true fans end up writing stories like this sometimes. It's obvious this reporter grew up a Bills fan (perhaps I'm wrong, but I would be surprised). I'm not concerned about the story as you have to consider the audience he's writing to. Big deal!

But, I did sense some bitterness in the reporter when he mentioned the 70s Dolphin domination. He quickly brought up the Kelly years afterwards, like they somehow negated what happened in the 70s. Umm ... not happening! Let's review.

-The Bills were 0-for-the-decade against Miami. That's 20 games, folks! Think about this. Can you imagine the Dolphins not beating a division rival in more than 10 years? Could there possibly be anything more embarrasing?
-Never has one team so dominated another for so long.
-Remember how bad that Jet Hex thing was? Nine games. That was only four-and-a-half seasons. Our Bills' dominance was more than twice that long. Imagine how Bills fans must've felt! :rofl3:

The bottom line is all Bills fans (past and present) are inherently bitter about this and no matter what they do against us (and let's face it, they have dealt us some bitter defeats over the past 15 years), it always sits in the back of their minds - like a scar!

Just my $0.02. And I went to college near Buffalo during the Kelly years as well (no picnic), so I know these fans. They are so bitter when this is ever brought up!

Oh puhlease. That was a postive statement that you are whining about.

exactly . . they hate us ever since. as someone said in this thread. it`s an inferiority complex, that`s why the jills are so obsessed with us. they are always trying to prove they are better than us but deep inside they know or feel our franchise is jut flat out better than theirs
