Miami Pass Defense: #2 Passer Rating, #2 INTs, #3 Sacks

Now if we could just start scoring more than 20 points per game and put some of these opposing teams in obvious passing situations......

Given that the correlation between QB rating differential and winning is 0.81, could you imagine what the Dolphins' record would be right now if Ryan Tannehill's QB rating was around 90?

Which is where it would be if he had Keller. may swearinger rot in hell.

So many close games lost that are costing us right now. We had the potential to be 8-4 maybe 9-3

Our D gave up a few wins this year. When it's top 5 or 10 you can start blaming the O but until then both need consistency.

Conversely, Pittsburgh is near bottom in 2 of those categories (INT's and sacks).

They give up 83.7 % passer rating, which is right where RT is.

Going to have to disagree with this. The only time our defense got beaten up was against the Saints. Every other game our offense hasn't been putting up enough points or sustaining drives. Every game our defense is being FORCED to try and win the game for us, they've been consistently good, and if they give up a drive at the end of the game because our offense is pathetic, you don't put that on the defense.

Surrendering a QB rating just under 73 is pretty outstanding, given that the average QB rating in the league is around 85, and given the correlation between QB rating differential and winning.

The defense is doing its part to help the team win in a major, major way here.

That says a lot considering the teams Miami has played. Nice work by the pass defense.
