Miami perfect place for Philbin

Nice story indeed. Would it be an awesome story if he won a championship in Miami after all he and his family have been thru in so far in this young year? Nothing can replace the blessing of a child for a parent, but winning can definitely help cure the wounds he's had to endure.

Great article and great to see the packers and their fans think so much of him. He obviously made a big impression them and hopefully he does that here as well.

One thing about his losing a son...he's got a lot of family. Not to belittle the loss of a son but in those situations having a lot of family can really help. He's got 5 other kids and he's one of something like 5 or 6 brothers and sisters, and his wife has like 7 other siblings as well. Just saying having a lot of family can really help you cope with something difficult like that, help you move on.

He's got 5 siblings and his wife has 8 siblings. Large families.

What I wish is that ESPN and others would stop bringing it up. Why does "Joe Philbin will be the 10th head coach of the Miami Dolphins....Philbin lost his son 8 days ago" have to go together? Show the guy some compassion and stop bringing it up every time you mention his name. One has nothing to do with the other.
