Miami Playoffs or NE Superbowl win?

Would you take the gamble? If you had the foresight...which would you choose?

  • Miami makes the playoffs as the 6th seed...but if we lose then NE wins their 5th Superbowl.

LET ME BE CLEAR ---this poll refers to THIS YEAR ONLY.

You're deciding on whether or not you really think Miami can win the AFC Championship this year. Because if they DON'T...then NE wins a 5th Superbowl. That is the point.

Could you really roll the dice? Could you really choose the Dolphins making the post-season with such a gamble at stake? Do you value your love and hope for the Dolphins over logic in this instance? For this team? This year? Not me.

I've noticed this trend in me ever since NE was on their run to an undefeated season. I've never been so terrified in sports...and ever since then, my first priority is to see NE lose when it comes to the end of the season. There is nothing worse than the thought of Tom Brady having a Superbowl ring on all 5 fingers....nothing worse. I hate them with such passion that it truly does equal my love for the Phins.

I could never take this gamble. I'd gladly sacrifice Gase's first season to ensure that the Cheatriots don't get a 5th SB. That would change when we truly prove that we can be a contender. But for now...NOPE.

What about you?

Really tough call. But my desperation for Dolphin relevance just slightly outweighs my hatred for the Pats.

My post is designed to create an actual debate...forums are great for that. Maybe you should try it for a change?

I'm pretty sure we started 1-4, so if we make the playoffs then thats basically a miracle.
Should we be so sad if we barely miss out? I don't think so.

Were very injured...have a rookie at head coach...and I'm not so sure that we make a deep run if we make the postseason. If NE wins a 5th Superbowl...history will consider Belicheat the best coach of all-time and Brady the best QB of all-time. For now that issue is still hotly debated...and I like it that way. Don't you?

You sit there on your high and mighty pedastool though...:knee::master:apparently you're more of a fan than any of us who would actually consider the options in this poll.

There should be no debate. If you would rob the Dolphins of a chance to win the Superbowl just so that the Patriots can't........well I don't know what is wrong with you. Sorry man. That's just asinine.

Interesting that you would use the word asinine....I think ignoring statistics, deductive logic, injuries, (and the like) is asisine.

So you choose blind faith. Got it.
You're not alone...but I wouldn't risk giving NE a 5th title with THIS team. Not THIS year. Its truly common sensical as to why. I don't feel the need to go into any more reason.

I don't care what our chances of winning the Superbowl are if we make the playoffs. The fact of the matter is that we would be in the playoffs and would have a chance at winning a Superbowl.........and that my friend is why I watch football......but you would rather have us not make the playoffs just to stop the Patriots from winning......yup. Asinine
 
Dolphins success is more important to Patriots not winning a Super Bowl.

If the Dolphins are having success then we are moving toward a Super Bowl. And Miami winning the SB is really all that matters.
 
Patriots are most likely winning Super Bowl anyway so why not get some playoff experience this year to build on?

Brady is delivering the ball in stride and having a great season. With the current defensive rules that type of precision can't be stopped. And not to many teams can get pressure up the middle with their front 4. Bet the Patriots money line from here on out. It will help you live with the heartburn of their 5th championship. Besides it's in the script.
 
I will absolutely take a playoff berth over not being in them.

Now if this were the Jets we were talking about...maybe...

In other words, are you a Dolphins fan or a Patriots hater?
 
as much as I hate N.E. I would rather them winning SB than Cowboys.....miami just make playoff and build for next yr.....
