Last year The Dolphins ran for 1643 yards and finished 21st in the NFL at rushing yards.

A bulk of that was by R&R who are now gone. I do think it was time for both to move on.

But that doesn't leave us with alot of experience or production at the running back position.

Here are our current RB's and what they did last year

Bush 150 yards and no TD's
Sheets 0 yards
Hillard 0 yards
Grisby 1st year
Thomas 1st year

Anybody else worried?

Nope. Legarette Blount, Chris Ivory, and Arian Foster had no experience last year.

Not real worried, we have two solid backs to carry the load. Thomas was the Big 12 rushing champion and rookie running backs do seem to make a quick transition to the NFL.

I was just thinking the same thing. I thought we would be wise enough to bring Ricky back. If Daniel Thomas doesn't impress (or gets hurt), our running game is in deep trouble.

Bush isn't even a true running back. He lined up a lot more in the slot than RB. So he should be looked at as a slot receiver and not a running back.

He's a glorified slot receiver and sucks between the tackles running the ball. He has poor vision in traffic and is an awful 2.8 yards per carry on grass.

He's only useful in space, and there's little if any space between the tackles.. that's why he was used as a slot receiver so often. The people who run the Saints offense are 10000 times smarter than the band of idiots that run the Dolphins asylum

Not really worried here, RB is the easiest position to fill in the NFL. Grisby, DT and the lot of them will be fine as our backs.

I'm not to concerned with thomas because I think he is going to be a beast, but after him I'm very concerned! Anybody who is not concerned with reggie bush then they're in denial, he is a serious is a serious injury risk, that's why I was hoping we would of resigned ricky for some insurance, hopefully we end up signing larry johnson or tiki barber just for that veteran insurance, or hopefully lex or kory sheets can fill that role, but yes I do have some concern.

Foster did. He had something like 250 yards rushing his rookie season, last year was his second season.

I'm worried. Bush isnt a true #1 RB, and I'm not sold on Thomas. While RB's may make the easiest transition into the NFL, there are plenty of successful college backs who are unsuccessful in the NFL. Ronnie Brown, Karim Abdul-Jabbar, Sammie Smith, Lorenzo Booker, J.J. Johnson, John Avery. Busts.

I am a bit concerned. With Reggies history of injuries and a rookie running back, we need some quality insurance back there. Lex Hilliard is ok, but ony for a handful of carries.

Dont know about you guys but i have a good feeling about Nic Grigsby, camp reports have him running hard and with some swagger.

He is a solid built, hard and fast runner. I will be really eager to see him in the preseason. I hope he gets alot of reps and think he can be a contributor on O this year as a 3rd back to get some carries if the ground game is rolling.

I wish we gave ricky the 2 year deal for an insurance policy and to let him finish his Dolphin as well.

Kid has had injury issues with his shoulders. Not exactly a good spot for a RB.

Our backfield is very unproven, doesn't mean they won't be successful just means we don't know what we have until the real games start.
