Miami Running Back position worries me

I'm worried. Bush isnt a true #1 RB, and I'm not sold on Thomas. While RB's may make the easiest transition into the NFL, there are plenty of successful college backs who are unsuccessful in the NFL. Ronnie Brown, Karim Abdul-Jabbar, Sammie Smith, Lorenzo Booker, J.J. Johnson, John Avery. Busts.

What's this word "true" always used for. A "true" #1 receiver, a "true" #1 running back, a "true" fan. Bush is fine. If New Orleans used him that way, you would not say this, I think that is true.

should have taken mark ingram and we' be set...dudes killing it in saints camp...killin it

100% agree Ive been on ingram's jock since he was a freshman. I wouldn't be surprised if he makes the pro bowl his first year.

whats there to be worried about...i thought rbs were a dime a dozen...thats the biggest hoax in football pretty much...well that and the wildcat i guess...

LOL, that was funny. So you are an expert? Can I see your offical certification. And just because you write it, doesn't make it 'truth'. In this tread you dropped nothing but negative 'opinion' about Thomas and Bush. You see that is where you complex comes into play. You beleive your opinion to be truth. Get over yourself CK.

LOL. Suave. Truly a master polemicist.

But I don't think it's me that needs to get over me...

Intrigued by Grigsby.

Daniel Thomas is a rookie 2nd/3rd rounder with 4.6 speed, a power back that played too tall in college to show that power as often as he should have. He's only in his 3rd year playing tailback after moving from Wildcat QB in JUCO. I can't imagine why anyone would doubt him in his rookie season.

And Reggie Bush, that's just a durable, fantastic natural tailback worthy of featuring on every down. I dare anyone to tell me different. [/sarcasm]

I'll tell ya different there is a lot more hot air to fill in that balloon

There are very few RBs in this league that play every down without getting "spelled" Gore - oh wait..., AP what was Chester Taylor back there on third downs? Think specialists people - Bush is a specialist - we had two slow slow lumbering RBs last year perhaps we have one now - BTW when you are 230 over 6 ft tall - speed is not as important as vision and keeping those legs churning...

I'm more worried about how our OLine performs. A Running backs performance largely depends on the Oline that opens holes for them. As long as they are opening holes, I don't care if Brandon Fields is our running back.

I shouldn't like to bank on the tenet of 'running backs are easy to find', but I'm fairly confident that one of our 5 guys will be able to win the job and play decent football for us.

Yea goyya love those decent backs welcome to Miami we got a great history of just decent backs.

'decent' in today's NFL translates to 750-1000 yards on the season. If one of those 5 backs can give us that much production, I'd be okay with it considering 2 of the 5 are rookies, and Lex and Sheets have very little NFL experience. I'm not the kind of person who expects that we have a superstar at every position, nor do I have unrealistic expectations of our group. But I'm not concerned, I think that the talent is there.

Well logically the only back that might do that is Thomas because Bush has never cracked 600 yards . I very much doubt we have a 1000 yard rusher this year. Beyond our top two i dont see anybody that could crack 500 yards in my opinion.
i dont expect superstar at every position but u need a good nfl back

The running backs will be fine. The must gel with the oline and we are good. As long as there's no dancing in the backfield we will be fine.

Should have gone with Ingram and Mallett. Both who are absolutely DESTROYING in camps so far. F-ck you Ireland!!
