I mean total and complete house cleaned. I mean it worked for the Lions and now theyre in the playoffs. Leave mo stone unturned. Ireland shouldn't be on plane with Ross to anywhere.

Detroit didn't clean house. They promoted Martin Mayhew from within.

Would be stupid to clean house. We do not need a housecleaning. We need a HC, QB, TE, RT, FS...

Ireland should be part of the house cleaning. Start fresh with a new coach and GM.

The big problem is there are not a lot of GM's sitting around waiting to be called in for a job and a few even getting fired. Who would you want to come in as GM now?

Just interested to see why you think Ireland deserves the boot. Why?

I give Ireland this year and that's *only* if he doesn't get in the way of hiring a coach. Ireland needs to prove that he can work within the current NFL system. His draft this year wasn't too shabby, but I need to see a consistent follow-up.

I think his presence will ultimately hurt candidates from wanting to come here.

* Can they work with him?
* Did he stab Tony in the back?
* A worthwhile coach will want a GM that have similar visions
* IF the Fins suck again, could Ireland be bounced and a new GM selected...that new GM will want his own coach.
* FINALLY, he is part of the Trifecta...he should go too

How about this?
GM: Eric DeCosta (or Phil Savage)
HC: Brian Billick
OC: Jedd Fisch
DC: Mike Nolan

How is that?

OR...Bill Polian, Bill Kuhlarich, Mike Mayock, Tom Donahoe, Charlie Casserly, Mike Lombardi would all be quality GM's IF you wanted to clean house.

Don't tell me there are not GM fits

I see what you're saying, but nothing he has physically done warrants his exile.

I don't see how you can blame him for Ross going after Harbaugh. :idk:

Whos Jedd Fisch? Mike Mayock is an interesting name.

Also, IMO Irelands first year as a GM (true GM) this year, wasnt bad at all.. Although I dont agree with some moves, I dont necessarily think that warrants his removal. Now if we have a chance at a Gruden or Cowher and they want Ireland gone, then yes, get rid of him.

I guess he had to do what his boss wanted. In reality, Jeff has two twins at home with autism. Him landing another GM job is pretty much null. So I guess in reality he had to look out for his own interests...However, I wish he had enough pull with Ross to tell him he could not take the trip to see Harbaugh while Tony was still the coach.

I don't know about you, but I don't tell the guy that writes my checks what to do or what I am going to do. If you find a job in which you can do that and still be employed, please let me know.
