Miami Should go "nuclear"!!!

If Tony didn't suck it is a mute point! It goes without saying Harbaughgate was a black eye and guys like Cowher spoke negaively against it. However right now it looks like Fisher and Billick have no issues.

Fisher will not end up here and I bet Billick does not even get a sniff from this FO.

the clean house crap doesnt work. its a crap shoot and a guaranteed 3 years of mediocrity and no accountability. its better to push on and keep putting the right peices in which includes a head coach.

your opinion has no facts or logic to really back it up its just some silly thing to say after a losing season. go throw in for some plane advertisements or somethin.

Couldnt disagree more. The defense does not need to be "cleaned". The D has top 5-7 potential the way it is now. Add another stud OLB and we could be top 3 easily.

LOL. all you guys cherry pick the one guy you think Ireland is better than.

I will meet you all halfway...if a quality HC can be delivered AND they share the same vision, I can live Jeff Ireland as the GM. However, until I am proven otherwise, I feel the prudent move is to clean house and start anew.

Are you kidding one guy Ireland is better then? Ireland is a soggy **** sandwhich! I just happened to live in Cleveland during the savage era of destruction via horrible drafts, trades, fa signings, and coaching hires.

Ireland should be part of the house cleaning. Start fresh with a new coach and GM.

In case you haven't noticed, Miami has been cleaning house since Don Shula retired. Constantly cleaning house and starting over is a very good way to stay in last place.

Where did I ever say the entire team needed to blown up...I did not say we should wash out all the players. My point is the vision of this team needs to be the same from the owner to the gm to the coach...I am not sure that can exist with Jeff Ireland around...maybe they can find something, but I need to be convinced.

FYI, you just cleaned house when Parcells left and Tony was fired. You are keeping the GM from the Trifeca.

Fine Eric DeCosta...with Billick.

Let me finish with this and we all can move on...

I WILL support Jeff Ireland IF a solid HC can come aboard with the same vision and philosophy to help this team win...Jeff's offseason this year was not bad...solid draft. HOWEVER, IF his presence stops a quality coach from coming here, he is NOT worth being around...

um . . . . k?

clean house. . . look at almost every crap team in the NFL - all clean house on the regular.

Look at us with parcells - still "Mediocre"

look at the 9ers - harbaugh with laregely the same players - 2nd seed.

Jets - same GM alotta the same guys - 2 AFC championship appearances.

now they are sinking after bringing that cancer holmes in and guys getting old etc, no more thomas jones type back etc.

Our D has been in the upper tier for 2 years now.

look at guys who "clean house" its a 3 year project every time, you dismantle any "team" you have and start from scratch.

there are facts and logic.

saying "clean house" is 100% a vote toward 3 more years of "mediocrity" and a huge set back. Do ppl watch american pro football? even college? or do they just get pms mood swings and base their opinions on that?

I think his presence will ultimately hurt candidates from wanting to come here.

* Can they work with him?
* Did he stab Tony in the back?
* A worthwhile coach will want a GM that have similar visions
* IF the Fins suck again, could Ireland be bounced and a new GM selected...that new GM will want his own coach.
* FINALLY, he is part of the Trifecta...he should go too

This is why he should have been booted...right again.

I dont think Irelands one year with full control did that badly. People expect some sort of loyalty over the need to do a job. Ross wanted to see Harbaugh.. Ireland was along for the ride. Coaches bring in players every week to replace guys already on the roster. It's the nature of the game, and isn't any different for front offices. Let's not kid ourselves, you wouldn't bite the hand that feeds you would you to save a friend who deserves to be fired? I wouldn't.

I would've liked to see Ireland go, purely from the standpoint of cleansing the franchise of the Parcellian stench. Do I think he's a bad talent evaluator.. no I don't.

Even the great Bill Polian got canned. Ironic that Ireland still has a job, but I believe he has a better reputation that we're led to believe. Everyone makes mistakes, especially when you're being groomed by one of the most arrogant teachers ever (Parcells).

I have no doubt, that if it came between hiring the coach that Ross wants, and keeping Ireland.. He'd fire Ireland in a heartbeat.

...but his presence and the owner's loyalty to him losses a quality coach and a guy that would bring a great staff with him.

Wish you cleaned house now.
