...and this time, it will last for longer than a day.

Pittsburgh is on their bye week. The conference record for the Dolphins is 5-2. The Steelers conference record is 6-3.

With a win in Denver, Miami moves to a 7-4 overall win/loss record...with a 6-2 conference record. The Steelers have a 7-4 overall win/loss record and their conference record is 6-3.

The Dolphins will be really hurt with a loss to the Broncos because KC plays Oakland, Cleveland plays Atlanta, Buffalo plays the Jets, and NE plays Detroit.

It is unlikely we're going to get any help this week...so it's time for the Dolphins to really step it up.

We'd actually move into the 5th spot, assuming KC wins as they'd be the division leader and we'd have the same record as Denver but own the tie breaker. This is a very important week.

cleveland @ atlanta will be no gimme for them, atlanta can still win against them at home

True we jump to 5th with a win. So just keep winning and we will be no worse then 5th seed

not necessarily. a win and a KC loss keeps us at 6, doesn't it?

EDIT: a win and a KC loss would actually move us into 5th spot. we'd be in a three-way tie with Pittsburgh and KC at 7-4 and best based on conference record.

Detroit is gonna beat NE

I wouldn't count on that. Watch NE put up 30+ against the #1 scoring defense. I root against NE every week and every week opposing teams disappoint me. Now when they play Green Bay in two weeks...I expect NE to lose.

Detroit is gonna beat NE

A possibility, a small possibility, but a possibility none the less. If that were to happen, and Miami beats the Broncos, the GB game that will be coming up for the Pats will be huge, and very tough game to expect to win if your the Pats.

Very very doubtful, but Miami could be in 1st place before the Dolphins and Patriots even meet.

All AFC teams need to lose 'cept us. Easy as pie right?
I believe GB definately beats NE, and the Lions probably beat NE.
