I think Miami will be the surprise team of the year. I was listening to the Riggins Show on Sirius NFL Network and they also believe this Miami Team could surprise some teams this year. For example, we were a 10 win team 2 yrs back and I believe that we have done some serious upgrades to this team.

1. Coaching Saban
2. The New "D"
3. RB Position: Fine w/Ronnie Hammer time w/R.W as well.
4. WR's position............who can stop us?
5. McMike: He will be used this year to his full capacity

Question Marks:

1. O-Line
2. Qb Position

What do you all think?

not to mention Linehan and houck--I wouldn't worry too much about the O line --they will be just fine--we could quite possibly do a SD, but lets not get too over confident ay shag :)

I do think that we can be a suprise team, but i dont know if we will do what the Chargers did. It will all depend on how our starting QB will play because the QB position is the most important one out there.

Just remember...it takes time. I think we will be greatly improved, but don't expect a season like SD had last year. I took Houck a couple of years to get the right people in/wrong people out to make his line as good as it was. LT is a major force for SD that we may or may not be able to duplicate with Brown...and who knows whether Ricky will play or how long. SD didnt have a new head coach, along with almost an entirely new coaching staff with new systems on both offense and defense. If we break .500, consider it a good season.

That said Houck never had the talent in SD that he has to work with in Miami--does he

These "talented" guys were arguably the worst offensive line in the league the past 2 years. Do you remember : "False start....everyone but the center", or the images of McKinney just watching as the DT ran by him... or our QBs getting decapitated every other play. If the reason for all this was lack of talent, it will take time to get more talented players here. If the reason was poor coaching, it will take time to teach these guys the right way to play their positions. Either way, while they should improve this season, dont expect too much....they simply have too much ground to make up to get there overnight.

Def agree with what the starting qb does. I think this years team will get better as the season goes on and possibly land in a wildcard

I'd prefer us to be this years 2005 Miami Dolphins. Forget copying other teams. Go with what we have and give 'em all hell in the process.

Last one year for this OL, they were put together last for the first time..they were the worst OL for only 1 year......and counting...hopefully not.

good point...the line 2 years ago was so bad almost everyone got fired. Wade Smith who will probably be a backup now started on that line, and Seth McKinney who will probably be starting was a backup on that line.
