Miami traded up and get Shawn Murphy OG

he is another old guy

whats with the dolphins and drafting age? F these 26 year olds. They are not prospects
 
Pick Analysis: The Dolphins traded up to get Murphy. This is a good, solid pick at this point in the draft. He's versatile on the offensive line. Murphy is mature and has great size. In Miami, they are going to want to pound the ball and he is not only strong but tough, smart and can change direction. He could be in the league a long time.
 
Anthony Collins, Carl Nicks and Roy Schuening were still available and we draft a 25 year old guard? :shakeno:
 
He sounds over drafted --- especially with us trading up to get him...

He's a "project" at he's already 26. I don't get that one.
 
Agreed, Sporting News Magazine says Collins is better! What the F!

Imagine if we had drafted the DE the Titans got, not even LISTED on the list of projected draftees published by the NFL. You all would have shat your pants.

Watch some of the guys that you would have preferred go undrafted. Happens all the time. Remember Ernest Shazor? Round 2- get him here! Round 3- must get him here! Round 4- OK, if they dont get him here, Ill puke. He went undrafted and now works at McDonalds.

He was highlighted quite a bit before the draft and the Dolphins sent staff at his pro day. He is the son of Dale Murphy, the Atlanta Brave. So the Dolphins were aware of who liked him and that they liked him.

the sporting news had him ranked right behind John Greco, and say that he will prove to be the best of the 2008 class(taken out of sporting news draft guide)
 
you'd think this was Logan's Run with all the age bashing. he could realistically play for any where from 5-10 years still. that's plenty for a 4th round pick.
