Miami trading for Larry johnson?

I think its a fantastic idea to give away another pick for an untested 3rd string player..especially the one that the coach refers to as wearing diapers..

Listen people..Miami isn't doing crap this year..face it..and how things are going Miami is in amajor rebuilding phase, including their defense, for the the next few years
..
They need to keep all their draft picks PLUS obtain more.....

Don't look to FA to help them out...look at this past year....3

Life as a Phin fan is going to be pretty rough for a couple of years

I hope this was sarcastic.....

because financially and logically this would be a horrible trade.
I am a very sarcastic person, but no I am very serious on this
I couldn't watch the game last night but it seemed like every long pass play came at Madison's expense, no? He has 1 maybe 2 years of value left then he'll be another T-Buckley, loud mouth back up corner. Get something while we can, what's illogical about that?

Because you play the games to win them! I agree no draft pick but I take pride in 1 losing seasons in 34 years and this team needs to do everything within reason to maintain that tradition.

the cap hit we would take in trading him

Let alone trading him for a player who would be a rent-a-guy for a year

We will sign a FA RB in the offseason, there are SOOOO many available

PLUS LJ SUCKS! Man i saw him for 3 years at every penn state home game. ASK NUB! Hes another PSU fan. LJ's ONLY good games came in their 9-3 season when he put up 200 yards rushing against michigan state, northwestern, and other crap teams
Look when he played a decent team like OSU, Michigan, and Iowa! He put up gooseeggs and lost. He is the classic PSU RB. Great in college, not pro material.

madison said he would restructure and restructure and play nickel and take a paycut to stay here

he will retire here.
he has 3-4 years left in him. he will retire when this contract is done in 2007 I think...

Surtain will be traded before he will even though Pat is CLEARLY the better CB.

That is EXACTLY right IMO.
This is an even more dangerous time for the Dolphins franchise then most people realize. Dave and Rick are playing a dangerous game now that their jobs are on the line. What is it to them to trade away all of the Dolphins draft picks for next season? They feel that they have to win this year in order to save their jobs. If they do pull a miracle and win 9 games, then they are safe. If not, they are gone and so are all of those precious draft picks. Its nothing to them. The Dolphins should keep their picks.

I thought Henry looked better than any other running back we have right now. Give'em a shot. Can't hurt at this point. And save the freakin picks Rick.

He looked better because all of our other backs are hurt.

Seems now Gordon went from Doubtful for the Jets game to out 6-8 weeks to now DONE FOR THE SEASON! You can bet Spielman is on the phone with KC as we speak.

yeah lets keep the trade deals down to a minimum. Unless its a trade for players that we can use either to shop with next year or that'll help us out in the long run and/or getting rid of "dead-weight" players that won't help us NEXT year, only then will it make sense.

Yep it seems Gordon is out for the season. Some type of trade for Johnson will probably be happening soon. :(

man... I sure hope Wanny and speilman are trying to save the season more than they are trying to save their jobs. Either way, Im begining to agree that we are selling our future.

BOOO. that would be a horrible pick up, we need to be trading for linemen not running back. I say we give henry a shot, he looked good considering our line.

i dont think we will make a deal do you think even if morris or minor were healty we still make deal and when is morris expected back

A Johnson trade would be more for the future than this year. Sure hed get in there right away but how much can u expect of him coming from another team? Gotta learn the new offense, and all that entails. Look at Booker alot of u are mad he hasnt done anything but how long has he been with the team?(not too mention all the other offensive problems like oline and qb)
