Just not for Brady Quinn..

After the Dolphins drafted Beck, they told him just how hard they went after him after spending their first pick.
Miami's management told Beck that the Dolphins' general manager tried frantically to join in the trade business in the first round, where nine teams traded picks. They phoned around the league, begging for a higher pick so they could take Beck before No. 40. Nobody wanted to play.
"About the mid-first round, I was texted by Miami and I found out later the Dolphins had tried three times to trade up to get me," he said.

I guess Randy played his cards right..

He got lucky.

But I'll take it, and if the Phins liked Beck as much as they say, I'll just let it play out and see how it goes.

I will never hide my frustration with not taking Quinn, but the situation will have the chance to prove if they were right or not.

well all i hear from this kid is good things so we will wait and see i think that quinn was overhyped and im glad we got a very good wr and kr/pr and a very good qb nice day one for tyhe fins..

I am mixed on my review of Brady Quinn but from just watching tape, Beck just looks so much more impressive. Quinn is overhyped because he plays for Notre Dame. I asked some die hard Notre Dame students at the Elbo Room in Ft. Lauderdale during spring break. They all said that the DOLPHINS don't want Brady Quinn!! They all felt like he would be bust in this league and they all pointed toward the Sugar Bowl performance and his overall career at South Bend. I just trust their analysis since like me watching the ALL Phins games, they watched all the Irish games. Point is, Brady's own fans said pass on Quinn and I believe he just got overhyped by the media.

Amazing how things change. Just a few moments ago Quinn was the next Tom Brady, now he's a bust waiting to happen. Life is funny. For the record, people should note that not all of us were drinking the Quinn coolaid.

Wow. One of the very few from the VIP that agreed with me. You should have seen all the hate that was dumped on me and others who called Quinn out as a bust. I mean it was getting downright nasty. The funny thing is that the draft proved me right. I'm still amazed in some ways though that there are still some trying to defend the position. Even some of the so called experts in the media are now taking a step back and reexamining how things went so wrong on their predictions. They're now saying 'well he wasn't that accurate, and he didn't win big games, and his arm is just average' so on and so on. I wonder how many of these guys actually watch tape. I mean I'm a pretty knowlegeable football fan, not saying I'm an expert or anything, but it was so obvious that Quinn was a fraud.
