Capers is the other big blitzing coach out there. He started with it in Pittsburgh (Blitzburgh,) took it to Carolina and Kevin Greene went nuts, then Jax, now Houston.
Any time you blitz, you leave someone one on one. A good Qb knows that the side that the blitz is coming from has the one on one and if your man gets a step, zip, completion.

blitzing works against teams that cannot execute. hence, it works very well against us. if you look at playoff games for stats to compare blitzing vs coverage, of course you will find that blitz got burned more often because teams that are in the playoffs can execute.

I'd like to see us blitz some more. Once our secondary is healthy would make more sense though.
