Miami v New England next season - Return of the throwback???

Hi chaps.

Just wondering whether anyone had heard anything about this...


My "friend" who supports the Pats suggests that for their 50th year anniversary, they'll be wearing throwbacks next season against us and that lot in New York...


He also went on to say that the opposition would be wearing throwbacks too...


Anyone know anything more?
 
i would love nothing more than us to wear the throwbacks when we play the pats. i also wouldnt be shocked if for some reason we open up vs the pats on sunday night this season.
 
This is not final but as part of the 50th year celebration the NFL is going to give the throw backs for 2 games by request only.Pats made the request last year for the 09 yr .did maimi made one ?
 
I think we will see the Orange jerseys if we get a night game at home next season.

I also hear the Sabres are wearing their old throwbacks against the Warriors next month:up:
 
that would be soo awesome to see miami wear the throwbacks.. speaking of jerseys... we better draft someone exciting in the first round so i can buy another damn jersey.. come on give me a SAFETY BP...
 
Lets hope so, the only time i recall us wearing them the last few seasons was when we creamed Dallas on thanksgiving
 
That'd be pretty cool if we broke out the throwbacks again. I haven't heard anything about it though.

Ha! That's a pipeline dream. Just got less possible too cos we threw out all the scatty old yellow bottoms. We also would need to buy some navy shirts cos it's a rarity seeing one of those.

Give it ten more years and I'm sure we'll sort something out!

Would be quite cool though. Our oldboys are coming up for the 1st so it should be fun. Shame its slap bang in our exam week, I don't think we'll get much support from our Uni.
 
I don't think we will wear them. The 50th Anniversary is actually for the start of the AFL, so all of the franchises that were part of the AFL beginning will wear 50th Anniversary throwbacks. Miami wasn't and original AFL team it came in a couple years later.

You are correct [I am wrong].

Just been told that the Pats will be wearing their throwbacks against Jets & Bills [both original AFL teams].


Booooooooooooooooooooo...

Sorry for getting people's hopes up.
 
It will still be awesome to watch the Pats lose with the logo that they truly should always keep - a man bent over. :hi5:
 
I actually like the throwback look for the Patriots over their current look. I wish they would go back to that logo permanently.
