the media is consistently saying miami cant win in new york in december. refresh my memory didnt pennington play in new york in december for many years. i know the jets werent a powerhouse but was pennington that bad in cold weather thta we have no shot to win.

this team has been overhauled from last year, so the recent influx of a new roster, im sure we players that have played in the cold before. i just dont understand why everyone thinks we will roll over for the jets because the fins have to wear long sleeved shirts.

I don't think anyone expects you to roll over especially if we play like we have been playing but if we play like we are capable of I expect to win. You have had some good teams over the past decade and you only have 1 win against us at the meadowlands since 1998.

The first game Farve Got lucky with that stupid pass. Wont happen again

It wouldn't surprise me if we only won 1% of all our division games since 1998. That is changing as of this year. The past two weeks Brett has been looking a little tired. If Miami plays mistake free, the Fins win.

you know what they say, all good things must come to an end.

I dont have the stats in front of me but apparently Chad was never great at home in the month of December.

With that said, we play pretty smart football right now. Its not like hes flinging it all over the field. So bad weather or not, he should be able to lead us down the field.

The past means nothing. Right now I think the Fins want it more then anyone else. If it comes down to that game in New York you better believe it's going to be a fist fight. Pennington will want revenge and I truly believe he'll get it. At this moment, Miami is the best team in the AFC East. Period.

1) Completely...COMPLETELY different team. You know this. Most of us in this forum are still trying to get used to this team.

2) We're playing with house money...the pressure is going to be smack-dab on Favre's shoulders. Can you imagine the backlash if the guy the Jets CUT to make room for Favre is the guy who comes in to the Meadowlands and snatches the division title away?

That would be ideal of course.

he is 9-5 in ny in december
:woot:

It's kind of like how you guys all said the Jets would melt in the September Miami heat.

Chad would like nothing more than to stick it to the Jets by knocking them out of the playoffs. Expect if the game is for the division to be a war and for Chad to will us to victory.

lifetime the jets are 3-6 against miami in the september heat

One of those wins came in our expansion year and one followed our 1-15 season.

And this year followed our spectacular 4-12 season.

Where did you get that info, I'd like to look at how good or bad each team was those seasons. The Jets haven't exactly had a history of dominant teams. The fins had a pretty good stretch in the 70's and then the 80's/early 90's w/Marino.

I'm sure the weather plays a factor, but I think people make it out to be more than it is on both ends of the spectrum.
