Miami Vs North Carolina

The blocking has been good, and Cooper+the offense has looked great so far.

That said, I hate the musical chairs at QB. Absolutely hate it.

GAWD Miami sucks!

They had this game......

How do let NC come back and beat your *** like that?

This team is just way too inconsistent....always has been....

Top 25 my ***....lol.

They don't suck.....just a young team with coaches that struggle to make in game adjustments. The tar heels have a solid team this year, and are undefeated and in the top 25 if they didn't fall apart after losing their starting QB against tech.

Miami is going to be very good very soon. There are freshmen starting all over the place on that team.

Yeah, Butch had our number again this year. Too much conservative offensive play calling IMO. We're a young team, and we'll be back.

The "youth" excuse is so tiring. pUNC has the 2nd youngest team in the NCAA (behind Bama), and yet still found a way to beat us with a 3rd string quarterback. We beat a 1-AA school and one of the worst in the D-1A, and all of a sudden, we're going to win the ACC.....blah.

This game is on the coaches. Reminds me alot of what we've seen during the Coker years. Get a lead in the early 1st half and sit on it. I don't think Shannon is the right coach for here. He can recruit, but that's about it.

Our offense was good for the first quarter, then folds it in. The Musical Chairs at QB sucks, and our STs sucked again today.

Call me a "hater" or whatever you want, but I'm just calling it like I see it.

Marve is a good QB though.

Yeah I'm not buying the "young team" rhetoric...

Alabama is one of the youngest teams in the country....only 8 seniors and freshman/sophomores starting everywhere....

This was a terrible let down for Miami Hurricane fans....totally uncalled for loss...

Very, very, very, very dissappointing.....ughh...

Alabama may have one of the highest number of young players on their roster, but their starting lineup is loaded Juniors and Seniors. Especially at important positions such QB, RB and in the trenches.

7 returning starters on Offense:
QB - Sr
RB - 2 Jr/1 Fr - Ingram
TE - 2 Sr
WR - 1 Jr/1 So/2 Fr - very good young talent here with Jones, Maze and Alexander
OL - 2 Sr/3 Jr

5 returning starters on Defense:
DL - 1 Sr/2 Jr
LB - 2 Jr/1 So/1 Fr - Hightower
DB - 1 Sr/2 Jr/1 So

So again, Alabama may be one of the youngest teams but they're certainly not fielding a young team (same goes for UNC).

The Hurricanes on the other hand are a young team and actually start a young team. We have freshman and sophmores starting in all phases of the game. We only had 4 returning starters on the offense and 4 on the defense. The U has 2 Fr QB's, a Soph RB, 2 Fr WR and 2 Soph starting on the OL. And on Defense we have 1 Fr Dl, 1 Fr LB and 1 Fr DB.

I also don't see how this "youth" excuse is getting so tiring? I don't like excuses either but the truth is the Canes still have a ways to go until this team grows together and gains experience on the field.

Don't give me this bulltihs that Shannon can't coach. Not only is he the right coach for UM he is the best coach for UM. Only an idiot would assume that we wouldn't have our lumps this year with this young team (that's right, there's that "excuse" again). Shannon reminds me nothing of Coker. Ol' Larry couldn't recruit or coach and Shannon is very capable of both. In our 2 wins, although weaker opponents, we took care of business like we should have and put them away. In our 2 losses, besides the 4th qtr vs the Gators, we were unquestionably always in the game. Yes, we did give up the lead to UNC, but we fought back and almost won the game. Given more time Marve and Harris will gel with their WRs and later in the year/next year Farquharson will make that last second TD catch.

Speaking of Mavre and Harris, how do you not play both? We should only be so lucky to sport 2 Mr. Florida's on the same team. With both of them being freshman there is no question in my mind that they should both see the field and get good quality minutes. God forbid if one of them goes down with an injury, we wont skip a beat because the other QB will have meaningful experince besides "garbage time" at the end of a game.

Was the loss disappointing? Of course. If your a Canes fan you're always rooting for the win. But in no way what so ever was it a terrible letdown (Ted SlimeJr must of had $$$ on the game). Sorry Cedar"h8r"Phin but it seems you're the one who let yourself down by thinking we'd win the ACC after only 3 games.

This loss hurts alot, we had the game. It's Monday and I'm still upset. UM would of been back in the top 25!

Shannon can recruit...but Miami gets outcoached in the second half of just about every game...

Hell...they were outcoached in the second half of the A&M game....Miami just had a big enough lead....

Talent will get you by against the Charleston Southerns, etc....but when Miami is playing D-1 teams where they're evenly matched....they get outcoached.

Oh well.....be proud if you want I guess...lol.

Talent in Alabama will only get you so far. Talent in Miami will win national championships with Coker as your coach. If Miami can recruit the area like they did when Davis and JJ were in town, they'll win a lot of games.

Are you saying Miami has more nat'l championships
than Ala,or that Shannon can out recruit Saban or what?
Our last championship was the result of ***** slapping
Miami.Being in the ACC is not the same as the SEC.

Of course we can't claim to have more NC's than alabama but the last time bama was dominant was in the 60's & 70's. Miami has 5 championships in the past 3 decades, alabama has 1. Can Shannon out recruit Satan? Well there's no doubt about that in the powerhouse state of Florida, but we both had comparable recruiting classes this year ranking variably in the top 5 (UM #1, ESPN).

And TedSlimeJR, hell... alabama was outcoached in the second half of the Georgia game.... bama just had a big enough lead.

Bama was playing the #3 team in the nation "between the hedges"....with TWO Heisman Trophy candidates and first round picks in the backfield....and WON!!!

Miami was playing a run of the mill ACC team without it's starting quarterback.....at home.....and LOST!!!!!

What a joke....lol.

Hey HurriPhin...
Not trying to talk smack, just asking a question.
I watched the Canes/NC game and the stadium looked half
empty and Dolphin Stadium only holds about 78,000.
Even when the canes played in the O.B. they never had
what I'd call big sellouts. Why is this?I used to go to the Orange Bowl with my dad in the 70's and watch the dolphins.
That was great and always sold out...What has changed since the
70' and 80's?
