I was watching espn today and they said that our team is not talented enough to compete against the pats. I disagree i think we are going to beat the patriots a**** next year :D. Wat do u guyz think about all this?

I think the Pats are in for some trouble. I mean, they are still the champions of the East until dethrowned... but I think we will have a good chance to do put a hurtin' on them this year...

For some more thoughts on that... someone started a thread earlier... here is a link...

"Yeeah, i'm gonna haveta go ahead and disagree with you there?"

There remains the question of the most important position on the field: quarterback. We have none to start the season, and the Pats have the best in the league. Besides that, the Pats had a ridiculously positive draft, the best front 7 in the AFC, and a cohesive, developing O-line.

I meant "I think the Pats are in for some trouble"... Like I said in the following sentence... they are still good, and still on top of our division... but I think we will give them a run for their money this season...

I in no way said that it is a lock that the Fins win it or anything...

So what? Did we win games because of QB play last year? Besides, Harrington will be our starter. It's an upgrade to Frerrotte anyday. And something that no one is predicting, which I personnally guarentee is the significant upgrade in our secondary. If there is a "sleeper" in the NFL in 2006, it is the Miami Dolphins entire secondary. Watch Will Poole blossom and watch the rest of the crew become sure tacklers, something we have been missing for many years.:ffic:

I hate to say,but don't count them out just yet...Gonna be some good games to watch!!!!..Let's just hope chad jacksons a bust even though I don't think he will :)...

a ridiculously positive draft? they did get c. jackson, but they picked 2 project TEs and a kicker with 3 of their first 5 picks. TE was their biggest need when they have used a first round pick 2 of the last 3 years? their draft was rated high because everyone kisses their a$$ in the media, this draft was worse than last years which was horrible. miami beat them once last year and should have won the first game with them. also the status of culpepper is still uncertain but he could start the season and if not harrington will fill in to start the season, so miami doesn't have a QB problem.

living in New Hampshire forces me to see/hear a lot of Patriots news. The fans here are not quite as excited as they have been in recent years. I think the Pats will be a decent team, but they will be looking up at the Phins unless our QB/DB situation explodes in our faces due to extended absence of daunte and lack of development of our new secondary.

The phins have a better group of receivers, a better RB, an improving OL, a steady DL/LB good Group.

The passing game will dictate our success this year on both sides of the ball. Good thing the NIcktator is a DB coach at heart and Mularkey has shown the ability to make a serviceable pasing game without a great QB. He should do well with a healthy Daunte.
