They win this week against the 49ers!! It's that simple, Kansas City and Denver play each other it doesn't matter which one loses. Miami still takes the six spot with a win.

How many Dolphin fans thought they would be saying that at the beginning of the season. The game against Baltimore is going to be big, well every game is going to be big but you know what I mean.

Stop worrying about math equations and worry about winning the fairly tough run of games ahead of us

If we play well the playoff spot will take care of itself.

One week at a time is Gase's motto and I think it should be adopted by the fan base as well. Don't get me wrong the thought of actually making the playoffs is awesome but right now there is too much football to be worrying about if Miami makes it to the playoffs. Worry about the game at hand first. Not to mention it keeps you from having your hopes dashed should they fail to make the playoffs.

We need to win the 4 AFC games to have a realistic shot.
Going 2-2 against the AFC, and 2-0 against the NFC ..or worse would probably keep us out.
Like the others said, keep winning and we have a good shot.

Not worrying about math bro just stating the facts.

Being 6th seed six weeks out means nothing.

I'll never understand why people, as fans, say "one game at a time." We have literally 0 impact on the games. No harm in having fun with our teams success, and figuring out how this once 1-4 team can realistically make the playoffs

Op i appreciate the positive thread. Rather than go after you about it being too early, I'll just say we should all keep grounded. We are a new team and If we hit a slump I'm not looking forward to this site if everyone gets their hopes up. We are definitely surprising a lot of people and we are finally going the right direction.

exactly, play good football and win games however its gotta be done

49ers game will be a one possession game. I feel a lot more confident it's at home, but between the Fins nearly always playing to the level of their comp, how banged up they are, and the 49ers staying close to NE for most of that gm last week, its going to be tougher then people think.

We'll pull through though

It's unnecessary to point this kind of stuff out (someone does) in every thread. We are all aware the team needs to take it one game at a time, but as fans, playoff standings are a part of the football season. That's why they are posted alll over every sports site, because people like to know where their team stands.

Thanks for the info OP and enjoy the fact that we actually are part of it for once. I sure am.

I agree 100%. I often laugh when I read a comment from someone on here saying something like.... "let's not get ahead of ourselves, we need to be fully focused on our next game and not overlook our opponent". Lol, as if we don't wear the right shirt on GameDay and eat our pizza, nachos and wings in a specific order as we normally do when our team is playing on Sunday that the Dolphins might become unfocused and lose...

Right now I am eagerly waiting to see 7-4 next to our team's name. Another week closer to a healthier roster is all I can think about. Keep the streak alive. Hard not to wonder where it will end but for now it's fun to watch it continue extending.

If we can get past SF we will be entering rare realm (in recent history) for our franchise. Years of agonizing expectations are starting to be distant memories. We have a long way to go but having the right QB and coach makes anything possible.

I think it's awesome that it's even a discussion. Hell yeah! This team has been a dumpster fire for years and continued to be one all the way up to week 6 of this very season. I type this as I sit inside of Hard Rock Stadium for the web weekend tour so I'm extra excited! LoL Apparently I'm the only Finheaven member representing here, which is crazy cuz I live in Colorado Springs. Can't wait to stomp the 9ers.
