Miami will be 6th seed correct

So the only way we get in is if all three teams win and finish 9-7 or all three teams lose and finish 8-8 or we win and Baltimore and chargers lose or Baltimore loses and chargers win

No we cannot get in with a loss at 8-8....Jets would have tiebreaker over us.

How is Pitt in? If we all finish 8-8, wouldn't we get in over them because of the fact that we beat them?

A fly in our ointment...... We play at 1 PM as does Baltimore. If we both win at that point San Diego has nothing left to play for.

Yes, the Jests are eliminated. If they beat us next week we also will be eliminated, but the Jests will finish in 2nd place in the AFC East, and we will be 3rd.

I hope you are not insinuating they throw the game. They have their jobs to play for.

I know Jets are out of it....just saying we cannot get in with a loss at 8-8.

Yes but your logic is flawed. If we and the Jets are at 8-8, Baltimore would be there as well. Head to head is thrown out in multiple team ties.

No, not insinuating that. Motivation will not be as great if not playing for a playoff spot.

Cinci has something to play for next week, which is a huge plus. If they win, and NE loses then they get a bye. It's more important for Baltimore to lose than it is San Diego to win, but we definitely need to take care of business against the Jets!

Correct. Also, if the Bengals win, they are guaranteed to play the 6th seed (if New England wins) instead of Kansas City.

Now, say what you want about KC, but I don't think ANYONE would rather play them right now than whichever team limps into 6th.
