I bet they will better to be thought of as the worst team in our division we will surpraise the league

I agree that they will surprise many "experts" and teams in the NFL. I will not try to guess the record but i am so happy to see a vision to see our path and see the intensity and passion from our players if we get off to a 2-0 start man i can see alot of good things for the season and a helluva matchup come week 3 v the Pats.

Don't count your chickens....

go ahead and count them...there is a FANTASTIC article posted above about the dolphins-jets matchup....very good insight about the team.....check it out and maybe you will change your thinking

im sorry but i think you got those numbers backwards...6-10 and 7-9 are more closer to what the record might be...you are being TOO optimistic with 10-6

I would say 6-10 and 7-9 are far more likely, but I also would say 9-7 is possible.

Here are some probable wins this season:

Texans
Ravens
Raiders
Rams
49ers
Chiefs

Some games we have chances at:

Jets
Cards
Bills
Seahawks
Bills
Jets

Games that would be huge upsets:

Patriots
Patriots

I would say we win about 4 out of the 6 "probable" games, and win 2.. maaaybe 3 out of the games we have a chance in. If we win all 6 probable games, and 3 of the "chances"... there's 9-7 right there. Possible wildcard playoff birth.

The thing about upsets is....they go both ways. We might pull an upset against a good team, but the Chiefs could also pull an upset against us. Not likely, but it could happen....

Agreed. 10-6 or 9-7 is not far fetched. Not only will we go 10-6 or 9-7, but we will make the playoffs.

I was talking to my son about this the other day and we broke down the AFC.

I don't want to get ahead of myself, but if we play with the same energy we did in pre-season, we will only get better as the season goes on. Take a look at the AFC (in no particular order):

EAST
Patriots
Bills
Jets
Dolphins

In the east, most people expect the Patriots to win the AFC east. But with so many aged veterans, band-aids and injuries, New England will have to try and keep it together if they don;t want to collapse towards the end of the season. The Bills can't seem to get over the mediocre hump and the Jest don't have a solid running game. It's going to be another one of those dogfight years for all 4 teams.

SOUTH
Colts
Jags
Texans
Titans

In the South, The Colts are expected to take it, but with injuries to Peyton Manning and the offensive line, the Colts are in the exact same position as the Patriots. There window of oppertunity is now closing. The Jags just can't seem to get over the Colt hump and with their most recent off the field issues, who knows if they will be the same team. The Texans and Titans are not scary by any means.

NORTH
Bengals
Steelers
Browns
Ravens

If the Steelers can pick up where they left off, they will run this division. The Browns are believed to not be far behind, but with the most recent injuries and ugly pre-season, there are big question marks looming in cleveland. The Bengals did not seem to upgrade and have suffered more injuries. The Ravens will soon be in rebuilding mode.

WEST
Broncos
Raiders
Chiefs
Chargers

In the West, the Chargers still look the strongest on paper, but the Raiders don't seem to be too far behind. The Broncos lost too many players and the Chiefs seemed to have went backwards.

All in all I see the playoff teams shaping up like this (in no particular order):

Patriots
Colts
Steelers
Chargers
Jags
Dolphins

I agree. All the great teams this decade are switching places with the worst teams. The Dolphins will be like the Pats and the Pats will go to the basement of the AFC EAST eventually. Same thing with the Colts. The Chargers and the Cowboys are going to be good for a while though.

i predicted last year Miami would be 11-5, so I may not be the best to ask. But if you need to know, I predict Miami 13-3 this year and we WIN IT ALL!!!!!

Props to those who believe in the team enough to have them over .500 atleast. You other "realist" could learn alot from those guys.
12-4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's why I said 4 of the 6 probable games, and then 2 upsets of the "chances" games.. that's a pretty easy 6-10.

As for last year, I figured for a .500 season. Winning one game and barely losing 6 was pretty damn close.

"A loss is a loss."

Yeah, and being a fan is being a fan.
