Miami with $50+ mill in cap space in 2013 (next offseason)

Amen to that. Some things are good and some things are bad. Its perfectly fine for fans to call the organization out after so many years of losing. The real long term fans have not forgotten that Shula only had 2 losing seasons in his whole career with Miami.

Why is that? Because he was smart enough to have Griese and Marino on his team.

So can Dansby if you ask me. Not worth nearly what Miami is paying him.

I just had that same conversation with my brother the other day. I told him that i'm okay with Miami taking Tannehill at 8 if they truly believe he's going to be their long term answer and not because they folded to the pressure. If not, I said I want Kuechley. I don't think Miami is in anywhere near position to pass on top talent because it's not a "need". He went on and on about Dansby and Burnett and that Dansby is fine. Sure, he's a slightly above average player at his postion but not even close to what he's getting paid. If he doesn't want to take a pay cut he can find employment elsewhere

MikeO,

You are what me and my friends call a classic pessimistic. Although you make valid points, they're ultimately flawed due to your narrow minded approach and hindsighted interjection. You've displayed an arrogant type of stance, and almost combative in showing your displeasure with the team/front office. Remarkably enough though, through out all the negative replies you've posted stating " why we should break up a losing team", you've failed to mention the importance of good coaching and the effect that has on a teams performance. Listen...I'm not gonna beat around the bush here, Miami hasn't had a legit NFL football coach in here since Don Shula. Quite frankly, that is why we're in the position we're in today. Oh plus we haven't had any QB's, but not having a smart quality football coach who is capable of getting the most out of all his players, and will motivate them all to be the very best is so crippling to a franchise. This is the new age of football where you have to out think opposing coaches and gameplan on the fly while making halftime adjustments. It's almost a necessity (if you want to win) to have an elite coach. My main point that I really wanna convey to you is, I trust the Green Bay Packer organization. I trust that we now have the football brains in town to put these players in a position to succeed. I know it sounds cliche but I believe it. All I'm asking is for you to understand that simple fundamental point. Because if you can, then you'll come to understand that this team was hijacked by pretend wannabe coaches who didn't have a clue how to run an NFL team. We do have the talent, now we have the direction.

Thanks Joe Philbin!

How about we let him coach a game before we label him the savior?
