Miami works out Antowain Smith, and Rhodes

Good news.

Another BUCS player too.

The Dolphins also worked out third-year tight end Matt Kranchick, who was waived Saturday by Tampa Bay.

Oops! Didn't see this had already been posted. Sorry mods!

Rhodes played high school ball at Fayetteville-Manlius (about ten miles from my house) and played collegiately at Syracuse.

I think Antowain Smith would be the better backup at this point, even though he's older. He looked good in the preseason and could help us out during the season.

our RB postion is going to be great!!!!!

I would have rather had Smith than Suggs.
Why would you wan't Smith over Suggs hes old and washed up. Plus I have seen them both play and Suggs is much better.

i actually liked the way Rhodes ran in college so im glad we brang him in for a workout

I wonder what's up with Davenport. Has he even gotten a nibble anywhere? He must be injured. Then again if he was he would probably be eligible for an injury settlement/being placed on IR (ala Will Poole).

In spite of the age difference, Smith is a proven solid back who has had two 1000 yard season. Suggs has proven nothing beyond him being injury prone. If this debate were about signing one of them for 3 or 4 seasons from now, I'd go with Suggs as well. But for a one season fix, Smith would be my pick.
