Miamiherald-Penningtonlooking good

Love reading this stuff. Man I cant imagine with a full offseason off work and improvments on the line, I am even more psyched to watch chad this year.

Pennington is only 32 years old....he's stil a pup. If we can get Chad a decent Wide Receiver or two along with some other help, he is going to have a ridiculous year. I think he is the NFL's all-time leader in completion percentage. Imagine if he gets some help like Hakeem Nicks, Heywerd-Bey, Britt and maybe a nice slot receiver or TE. I don't think Chad needs to throw it 50 yards to be successful. I am so happy the Jets got rid of him and we scooped him up. I think he has a few more good years left before Henne takes over.

That was a very good article. Pennington seems to have a lot of fire in him and the fact that he is working out more then ever in the offseason is very encouraging. I know he isn't the long term future for this team, but I am very glad to have him as our QB right now. I really do hope they can extend him beyond this season, even if it has to be as a backup in the future.

I agree Roman, add another WR, with the other additions we have made and this offense could be really good. Good line, good rbs, good TE ( I am excited about Fasano) and and upcoming WR's (bess, ginn, cam and rookie) with Pennigton...sick.

Agree Nubs. Would be nice to lock chad up with a 2 or 3 year deal. I like hennes potential, but Pennington is proven.

I was just about to post this, and I have to reiterate many of the same sentiments. It's going to be exciting too see what Penny can do in 2009.

Honestly, if Pennington does a good job next season and remains healthy, I see no reason to force him out and give Henne the job.

You are right on Stratman. Will be kind of like a warner/leinart situation. But you dont get rid of proven for the unknown.

I really enjoyed this article. I am very curious to see what Henne can do, but you have to cheer for a guy like Pennington. I'm very happy he's our QB!

Roman529, u are right about Pennington having highest career passing completion %. For QB's with 1500 attempts or more, he is followed closely by Kurt Warner and Steve Young. This info is from www.nfl.com

What?? Was I the only one who saw the little hidden gem about David Boston?? Quick someone start a "Lets Sign David Boston" thread. He's the exact type of tall, well built, reciever we are looking for. He can be our Aquan Boldin only cheaper. I think he still has a 1200 yrd, 14 TDs, 100 catch season in him. Lucky for us we are the only ones who know about him. And since they are working out together their timing should be great by the time the season starts. YEAAAAA now we don't have to worry about WR in the draft. It seems so simple......sorry I couldn't resist.

Boston is a cream puff, i doubt he plays 4th string any where, by the looks of him you would think he would be good but all that muscle doesn't do **** if you cant stay healthy and catch footballs.

this article was touching... i bet david boston thinks hes fast cause he has to slow down for pennington's floaters... Chad Henne will start by half way threw the season

David Boston in his Arizona Pro Bowl Year(i think there was only one) was pretty spectacular. The dude was always suspected of using Performance Enhancing Drugs. Just one look at the photo archives and you can see that he may have had Victor Conte on speed dial at some point. The alleged PED use probably attributed to his injury prone nature. That being said, Chad Pennington came back last year from supposed injury based career implosion and proved he was among the best. I say give him a chance. If he is willing to work out hard and get back in shape that may show he's in the right state of mind. I am always for a feel good story and that would truly be another great one.

He has always been competitive, but now he also has a very talented and hungry second yr player looking over his shoulder.
Competition makes every player better. Are you listening Satele, J. Allen?
