I love how Stockar managed to accumulate all those with hardly any playing time. Truly a fantastic pickup lol.

Compared to last year those #'s are sick!! HH was a huge difference for sure. Not to metion we didn't even have a 1000 yrd rusher and a 15 year veteran behind center.Could you imagine how the line will be after Saban is done this spring?? Looking good for 06!!

Looks to me like Carey was out best performer, although personally I feel like false starts are kind of overated. Id prefer intensity, along w/a few penalties(hadnot).

What are you talking about? False starts are a lack of discipline not a negative effect of intensity. Sacks aloud is kind of a bogus stat because it can be difficult to attribute a stat like that to one player. Did the receivers do a good job getting open? Did the QB show some awareness? Yes there are times where one member of the OL can directly turn a play into a sack but, this stat is still tough to measure its actual validity to effectiveness of a lineman. Im sure coaches Houck and Saban can judge who is an effective lineman and who isnt. I would rather have a false start than a sack, but there is no question the stat false start can be credited directly to an individual. It is also a mental error, which is intolerable. Can you guys please start listening to coach Saban's press conferences and read his book as well? It would save me time from having to point these things out to you.

As sad as this sounds it seems like there was more penalties than this...hehe

I was by Seth's stats. 0 sacks allowed?

That's less Seth playing like a star and more a function of Hudson Houck. He dramatically simplified pass blocking assignments. Tony Wise seemed to have them doing all sorts of weird nonsense. You dont see any missed assignments or the immobile Rex Hadnot try to mirror a 260 pound speed rusher on a stunt or things like that anymore. I'm sure it would especially help McKinney, considering he was the one who did the line calls.

Only 14 sacks? That's like one game in 2004.

We gave up something like 26 sacks. I'm guessing StatsInc. seems to attribute the other dozen sacks to overload blitzes or coverage sacks. I'm not going to watch film to prove it or anything, but I'd go with that. Frerotte had plenty of time to throw most of the time, and alot of the time he was sacked he took too long.
