Arguing with my fellow co-workers (I work in Pittsburgh) about Miami's win streak at the end of the year. All I hear is we didn,t play anyone and New England played their 2nd string. First of all NE 's 1st string was getting the crap knocked out of em, Brady was being tossed around like a rag doll and I'm sure they didn't want to get him hurt.

I then asked what did Pitt do in their final six REGULAR season games? 4-2 Indy (L) Cincy (L) Bears (W) Vikes (W) Browns (W) Lions (W). Not very impressive esp cause the bears wouldn't even had the record they did if they played in the AFC. Pitt got hot at the right time and got VERY lucky. 1st the assassin KEMO takes out Palmer <give me at least a flag ref> then everything went their way. Which is fine - last year is over. New Season so really our 6 game win streak and their luck streak suberbowl mean .... crap.

I personally can't wait til SEpt 7th when we kick their ****y butts up and down the field. Big Ben better have his helmet on for this ride cause he's gonna get smacked harder by crowder, zack, and jason than an old lady drivin a buick.

Worthy effort at a rant lol. I can't wait either my friend, if we lose, I think I will cry.

winning 6 games in a row in the nfl is hard regardless of who your playing.

were their other teams with notable win streaks?

Exactly! I preech that on a daily basis to other fans. I pretty sure we were one of just 4 or 5 teams to have a winning streak of 6 games or longer. Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, Seattle, Miami and I think Jacksonville did it also.

I would just consistently remind them that their Super Bowl victory is hollow, considering that the NFL obviously threw that game in order to capitalize on the whole "Jerome Bettis' last game in his hometown" story.

You could also remind them that Hines Ward, the SB MVP, actually cried after losing to NE in the 2004 playoffs and (if that wasn't bad enough) has a tattoo of Mickey Mouse.

steeler fans always overrate their team, just imagine they are going nuts over their super bowl win and we are going to go in there and really surprise a lot of people who dont think we are for real...i cant wait for sept 7th and you cant ask for a better way to start the season than a chance to dethrown the deffending champs on prime time tv

Actually the Vikings had a six game win streak also after Culpepper went down.Funny how Miami's win streak gets played up while the Vikes streak sans Culpepper is forgotten or dismissed.

A six game win streak is a six game win streak, say what you want it's darn hard to do in the NFL.

Yeah. I remember our 21 regular season game win streak. That was fun:D
