Here's a run down on our OL so far this year from everyone's favorite in PFF.

Satele- Overall -5.6, pass -5.9. run +2.1. Gave up 2 sacks, 7 hits, and 7 hurries.

James- Overall -7.9, pass -5.3, run -3.1. Gave up 2- 9- 20.

Albert- Overall +17.5, pass +12.6, run +6.3. Gave up 3- 1- 5.

Dallas- Overall -27.9, pass -18.0, n- -11.0. Gave up 2- 5- 23.

Colledge- Overall -13.5, pass -3.6, run -11.3. Gave up 5- 2- 6.

Pouncey Overall -11.0, pass -9.6, run -1.9. Gave up 3- 0- 18.

Shelly- Overall -7.4, pass -4.1, run -4.1. Gave up 2- 3- 5. (only 314 snaps)

Fox- Overall -2.3, pass-2.5, run +0.7. Gave up 0- 1- 1. (57 snaps)

Garner- Overall -0,7, pass +0.6, run -1,4. Gave up 0- 0- 0.

Combined the OL has given up 19 sacks, 28 hits, 85 hurries, a combined 132 QB pressures over 12 games. Last year, it was 41 sacks 39 hits, 114 hurries, a combined 194 QB pressures. FWW, the lowest grade fro last year was McKinnie at -11.8 overall.

We seem to be cursed on the OL. Last year it was Bully Gate with questionable talent. This year, it's injuries with some questionable talent. We're starting two guys, in Satele and Colledge, who no other tea wanted, and James, Pouncey, and Dallas are playing out of position.

If not for Benton and Lazor with all the quick, short passes, we may have been about the same a last year.

In this playoff run, would you go with Satele, Pouncey, and Shelly or Colledge or, put Pouncey back at C with Colledge and Smith?

With all the injuries, why has Garner not got more than Cameo appearances

They sure don't like Dallas Thomas lol. I think they're being a little harsh on James too. Isn't a grade below -5.0 below average or bad according to their scale?

Wow, that doesn't look very good. Albert is the only good grade and he is gone.
We need to win with smoke and mirrors.

Im just looking at a bunch of numbers.

A zero is average, and a +/- up to 1 is about the same. Past that, it's a degree of how good or bad a player has played individually. Albert was Great but, no one else has been good overall for 12 games. James has been VG for a rookie but, has had some ups and downs which were expected. No one else has played well overall and consistently.

Why is Satele playing center over Mike Pouncey again? Who would be his replacement at guard? How much worse could it be? At least someone talented would be playing their natural position.....

Losing Albert sucks so bad. He is a BEAST. Luckily James has been doing well.

They grade every play for the entire year between -2 and +2 which are very rare to give. When they combine all of the grades from 500-600 plays, this is the result. Again a 0, give or take means the player played average on their eyeball test of watching him play every snap on film.

Still people want Tannehill to sit back there and allow 5 second routes to develop.

Numbers....Numbers based on one persons opinion on what they think happen on a play....without having 1)the play call or the player specific assignment...2)any experience in football as a player or coach.

I still want our interior line reshuffled to get the best run-blocking guys in there at their best, most natural positions: Billy Turner at LG, Mike Pouncey at C and Shelley Smith at RG. Those three guys would give us a beastly push in the run game, I think.

That is true to an extent. However, on the OL, they are just grading if a player beat the guy in front of him or, they beat him. It's not all that complicated, and most here could likely do the same if they took all the time to watch the film. Forget about the play call and assignment on the OL. You either block the guy in front of you or ya don't. Other positions are different.
