Right now I relaly like Culver...hes reminding me a bit of a younger Bell when bell woudl make plays when he got the chance to play with Saban his first year. He seems to have good range in coverage as well and UPS to go and deflect passes like he did agasint I believe it was Hardy in the first game.

I think John Beck will get traded for anythign we can get toa team thats in need of a QB and miami will draft a rookie in round 7 or so as a project.

I read an article that said Dont be surprised if miami trades porter for picks considering he is old and has some value and in all HONESTY taht wont surprise me. If we can get a 2nd for him, Pick up suggs in FA to take his place and draft a rookie for roths place its basically getting younger and getting another pick so you NEVER know, just a thought. It also said that its a Parcells move that shouldn't surprise people.

I like Haynos as a WR option and project along with Jones as a nice ST/Defensive Vet that can apparently Blitz pretty well.

I personally like cramer a lot so I hope he stays.

I can see dotson as being a nice DE for the rotation and still see Holliday cut due to a big cap number and basically non existent this year most of the time and we will draft or pick up a FA DE for his spot or even have starks in full time at hollidays role while Merling is the starter.

I also think Hill and Goodman get re-signed and carey walks and miami picks up Gross if he hits the market or Colombo and I can see crowder possibly not re signed.
 
I always go cross eyed when I read your posts... but from what I made out, why would you want to replace Roth?

Because he blows. Well I have nothing against him but, he just isnt that good. I would like to upgrade his position but, I think he could provide a solid backup option at that spot. He is good depth...period.

Roth has done pretty darn well for a guy who got thrown into a position he's never played mid way through training camp.

He's still developing.
 
i wouldn't replace roth unless jt / zach came back but I like culver too, he seems to play with really good attitude and intensity and i see him around the plays a lot, gotta love guys like that, makes any game worth watching.

there is a difference btw developing and upside. he doesnt have much upside as a starting OLB b/c he lacks speed to rush, his short arms affect him tremendously, and hes hardly ever putting ANY pressure on teh QB. sorry but hes only good against the run.

He will be a good back up though.

I don't think Roth blows. He's actually been very good against the run, problem is he does not get a lot of pressure and that is why he's taken out on 3rd down when we go to a 4 man front so I agree we could use an upgrade at OLB. I actually would not be shocked to see them experiment with Roth at ILB.

He has shown flashes of being pretty good in run support. Agreed. However he just isnt very consistant right now in either phase.

Perhaps as one poster suggested, he could still be developing and turn into a solid player. I would still rather upgrade the spot and continue to develope him at the same time.

I would like to trade Porter as well. As good as he has been and as much as I love stuff like what he did to Brandon Marshall and the SF TE this week, I just cant tolerate much more of the pure stupidity. The needless comments on issues he is completely ignorant of that have nothing to do with what we are trying to accomplish as a team.(Vick, Plax, Matt Jones etc etc.. Casino incident. Who jumps a dude like that with a bunch of other people? Just stupid.)

He has been pretty solid on the field this year, but if we are going to get value out of him, this offseason is the time. He isnt getting younger and we could possibly get a 1st rounder for him. Pass rushers are in demand. If not a 1st, Im sure we could get a 2nd plus a later round pick. It would be the wise business move for this team.

But, if Zach and JT came back, who would we get to start in their positions? JT could maybe give us some depth and be utilized as a 3rd down pass rushing specialist:lol:, but can he play special teams better than Charlie Anderson?:D Zach? Bring him back as a LBs coach or something?

well looks like Gross is the guy on the list.

who do you think Carolina resigns, Gross or peppers? tough one but prob 1 gets tagged or resigned and one walks b/c they just signed gamble to some nice money

btw is it me o r did webster get a bit more $ then he should have gotten? if thats the case then prices of these players are going up and fast at it.
