I probably wish I would did that back then, oh well. It just shows that we are getting more respect.

6-1 versus 5-2 of the Pats???
I just want to know if those numbers will somehow change by Oct 8, because as i see it, our record will be better than NE's.

And thats the thing about sports odds. Remember, like someone pointed out a while back on here -- this isn't what the bookies "think," or who is the better team. These odds are structured so that they make MONEY.

i have no idea what any of thsoe numbers mean

Dolphins are 6-1 to win the division, so if u bet 1 dollar on them, u get 6 back if that happens, or to use bigger numbers, if u put 100 on the dolphins to win the division, u get 600 back. Patriots being 5-2, same thing, u put 200 bucks on them to win the divisino u get 500 back. Obviously they think New England is the favorite viewing it by the odds.

Or u can play it smart and bet 200 on New England and 100 on Miami, and hope the Bills and Jets suck, and u would guarantee yourself winning either 500 or 600, and only spending 300 . . of course this is assuming Pats or Fins win the division. Worth looking at tho.

Here's a good tutorial on odds in general

In its most simple of terms, 1 in 5 odds is a statement that the bookmaker believes if there were 5 total probabilites (games played), the team has a mathematical probability of winning one of those games or, in other words, that the team has a 20% chance of winning
