ESPN Texans reporter Tania Ganguli doesn't expect the team to re-sign free agent NT Earl Mitchell.
Mitchell is best suited for a 4-3 defense at 6-foot-3, 308. Ex-Bucs GM Mark Dominik, appearing on ESPN's NFL Insiders last week, pegged Mitchell as one of his top sleepers of free agency. The 26-year-old started 14 games last season, racking up 48 tackles and 1.5 sacks. Feb 17 - 8:56 AM

I got this from Rotoworld. Of course, the thing that stood out to me was Dominik giving this guy his seal of approval. It made me curious to think whether Hickey had the same mindset for him, and whether this guy would be one of Miami's options if Soliai and Starks weren't re-signed.

Another name that intrigues me is Red Bryant, who played DE for Seattle but is more suited as a DT, being he's 300 pounds.

I've always liked Cam Thomas and Linval Joseph, both of whom are free agents.

I have said "find the next Randy Starks". Maybe this guy is it.

I'm still hoping we get either Soliai or Starks signed......but there are definitely others out there we could bring in. I also though Bryant from Seattle might be a decent option....

Bryant will require a premium from being a SB champ. I think re-signing Soliai is essential. Starks has probably been driven away and won't be giving any latitude to the Dolphins. I don't expect him back. There are a few solid DTs that can stretch to he 4th round, so we can bring in some new guys and expect them to make an impact year 1.

We could let both Starks and Soliai walk. Then sign either Thomas or Bryant. Then at DT we have Odrick, Francis, and either Thomas or Bryant. We still have Aauitui as well. He is listed at 6'4" and 315lbs. IMO DT will be a solid position for us if we can sign one FA whether it be one of our own or one from another roster.

The Dolphins free agent money should go to re-signing Grimes and Soliai and finding two starters on the offensive line. That won't leave much left over. I think the best plan at DT is to find some good young players in the draft maybe even in the 1st, but more likely in the 2nd-3rd round range. Players who might be targets in the 2nd-3rd include:

DaQuan Jones of Penn State
Kelsey Quarles of South Carolina
Anthony Johnson of LSU
Will Sutton of Arizona State
Daniel McCullers of Tennessee

If we sign Soliai that would give us 4 DT's on the roster. IMO there's no need to draft one as well.

In the middle or later rounds I would have no problem drafting another defensive tackle. You can never have enough good d-linemen.

I'm hoping that Grimes and Soliai are quickly signed. They both should be rewarded with contracts. I really hate losing Starks si I'd try to sign him as well. DT is a position of strength. Let's keep our front 7 together.

We have to sign two OL and Grimes in FA. I think DT will be a high draft pick 1st or 2nd round.

I see a few people here saying we are fine with adding only one DT to the current roster. I think people are highly over valuing AJ Francis. I know he was the "pre season star" or whatever you want to call him, but keep in mind he got cut not only from our team, but also New England, even after they lost 2 starters at DT. I'm not saying that he can't develop, because he did flash potential. But if an injury happens at the position, and he's forced into the starting lineup, I'm a little worried.

I'd say either resign Soliai or Starks, or sign one of the top FAs to start opposite Odrick. And use a 2-4 round pick on a DT
