Now that the Saints have both Deuce McAllister and Reggie Bush, why not try to get Michael Bennett from the Saints? We could use another back, Bennett has started and been productive in the NFL, he knows Linehan's system (which is still being used in Miami despite Mularkey being our coordinator) and he's not going to see the field much with that tandem in front of him. It seems to make sense. Your thoughts?

It'd have to be for little or nothing, if we can for that, I wouldn't be opposed.

What is his contract, that may be the hold up and also compensation. We may give up our 6th for Harrington, Im not to keep on giving up many draft picks.

Only if we didn't have to give up picks.

they just picked him up recently and ive never seen a situation when a player who was picked up in FA was let go before training camp or a game, the only way we would be able to get him would be through a trade and i dont see much trade value there....i think bennett will be kept by the saints and used as a 3rd down back in usualy passing situations as was morris for us

Screw Bennett what about Deuce. Quit with all the crying about getting someone cheap. If Saban can get the deal done under the cap it doesn't matter how much it costs.

Yea, I remember (vaguely) 5 years ago.... those 3 games he played before he caught the injury bug and he was darn good! I'm all for it! (not)

I agree, spend all the money you are allowed to.

Wouldn't mind seeing Bennett in a Fins uniform to backup Ronnie at all.

Whoa, no need to be a dick. Jeez, excuse me.

Well, the Saints originally signed Bennet while under the impression that Reggie Bush would be unavailable. I would not trade for Bennets contract, as it is long term and pricy. I would wait and see if the Saints release him in training camp or before then. Another possibility would be there other backup RB Aaron Stecker. I believe he would also be a quality addition to the Dolphins if he were to become available.
