Mr. Brown was dismissed from the team in the off-season after being caught with a firearm on campus. I won't get into that story too much, but he was expected to draw much attention going into the 2008 season. KB21 can enlighten you more on this guy. But my understanding is that he will attempt to enter the supplemental draft. Would you consider him? Remember that Coach Croom and Bill have some history and what Coach Croom says about Brown could influence a decision to look at him.
One interesting thing beyond the discussion about not drafting a db or wr, was that only one OT was drafted. I realize Murphy could play OT, but he was drafted to play guard. Gore, signed as a UDFA, was considered a draft worthy guy from Boise State, but he was like Murphy and projected to be a guard. So right now you have Long, Carey, Wilson, and two undrafted free agents at tackle. Giving Brown a shot at a low round pick might make sense. Could lead to moving Carey to guard as some have speculated already.

sorry...no....i think if we use a pick for next year we'll probably miss out on needed talent and potentially a "sure-fire hidden gem",and I wouldnt want to take that risk....if he is still undrafted...I say sign him up...otherwise....look the other way..

No thanks. UDFA maybe, but nothing more.
