LOUISVILLE'S BUSH TO GO PRO
Several reliable sources close to injured RB Michael Bush of Louisville have confirmed to CFT that Bush will enter the 2007 NFL draft. Even though an announcement of the decision will not be made anytime soon, Bush will not return to Louisville for the 2007 season even though he could obtain a medical redshirt this year as the result of the broken leg he suffered against Kentucky last weekend.
The reason for the decision? -- economics. Another year of college ball could result in injury or poor performance. Also, the nature of the disability insurance that Bush procured on his behalf this year could have been a factor as recently noted by our sister sight Profootballtalk:

I would love to get him as Ronnie's back-up if we we're picking later than pick #25. I think though that Saban will be looking for Justin Vincent or Alley Broussard in the second or third rounds.

id like jacobs, the backup from the ny giants

If Ricky returns no need to draft a running back.

I dont think hell be around after 25

You never know he isn't going to be able to play the rest of the year, and depending on his workouts he might not be able to get teams to overlook his injury. I believe Willis McGahee fell to 21 or 22 if I remember right.

I dont care about his injury, this guys is going to be a monster, im talking amazing.

With that bieng said he shouldnt be a backup in the NFL, i doubt he comes to Miami.

He probably won't but the injury will scare NFL teams away from him with an early pick. Saban likes the Running back by committee, and if Michael Bush is there when we pick in the first round next year I hope we get him regardless of who is there at DB or at LB.

I'll join your little fantasy :D Talking about insecurity if your Ronnie Brown. Because as Jimi said... He shouldn't (and won't be IMO) be a backup in the NFL.

Bush's NFL potential is scary.

Drafting a backup RB in the first round next year would be very, very foolish.

We have other glaring needs, like LB, CB, & OL.. maybe a strong safety.

Also, if Hagan doesn't prove to be a potential #2 WR, then we may need a WR.

Let's just hope Saban is working on trading for 5-6 first round picks.

I think the guy is great, but I agree we need more help in the secondary and along the OL. Hopefully, Ricky ends up coming back and can help the team. Right now the OL looks OKAY in pass protection and TERRIBLE in run blocking.
