The Raiders are expected to cut S Michael Huff this offseason.
Huff has been a disaster since being selected No. 7 overall in 2006.

no thanks. he really hasn't done much to prove he's a good safety. as much as we need to replace renaldo hill, i don't think huff will be the guy

Yes please.

I watched Huff play at UT, and the guy was fantastic. I think he is worth bringing in. I have no confidence that the raiders are an organization that can develope talent at all. It's where 1st rounder go to die.

i live 30 miles from oak so lucky me gets to watch most their games..
NO NO NO NO NO.
why would we bring in the newer jason allen..?
this guy has 0 to no ball skills doesnt like to hit and has looked like the weakspot in that secondary since he has stepped in.
I rather have JA start next year than sign HUFF

Lots of secondary players are leaving Oakland and going on to suceed elsewhere, if Huff comes cheap he's be worth a look from anyone just because of his amazing athleticism.

Only if we can get him for dirt cheap.. but hopefully our FO sees something that we don't

Yes

Did they ever try him at CB like we did Jason Allen?

They did have him practicing at every single spot in the secondary back in 2007, I don't know what they did this last year. Versatility is one thing but that was probably stretching it just a little thin. I say yes to bringing him. Hes got very good measurables and speed. Our secondary improved immensely last year and turned Andre Goodman into not only a starter but at the midpoint a GOOD starter.

Yes he has been like JA as far as hype and production but at least Huff has more starting experience. Change of scenery is a pretty big factor for player improvement especially when you consider that Huff will come from oakland :(where the players don't even connect with the coach since they know he might be fired after the first two games....You don't know what he might play like on a team that holds each other responsible and has direction.

I brought this up with RoninFin about a month ago.

I like the guy. Wouldn't pay a lot of money for him, but I think he'd be a solid pick up.

What a crappy safety class. I guess Whitner is doing alright but Jason Allen and Michael Huff have not lived to the first round status.

i say we give him a shot anything is better than what we have now it would def. be an upgradeover what we have now. maybe new scenery helps him out

rem they traded washington b/c he "wasn't doing too well" and he went to BALT and played extremely well. i was on a raiders forum last week to see if there was any update on Aso hitting hte market and all i read was how the stupid FO traded Washington especially with what he is doing in Balt now.

Depends on what we would have to pay him i see us going after Justin Miller we wanted him off wavers from the jets to be our Return guys and he is a UFA this year

I think Huff has talent but hasnt showed it yet. He was a 1st round pick a few years back. And secondary is def a point of need. I think we will either bring in Huff or Roy Williams when Dallas cuts him. I also think we should def make Leigh Bodden a priority as he will not require as much money as the big FA out there. But Bodden is an upgrade and Huff or Williams will help out too.

Yes please Huff is incredibly athletic, upgrade over what we have now. I wouldn't sign him if he wants a lot of money though.
