As for another incoming rookie quarterback, Ryan Tannehill will be on the Dolphins next year, according to Michael Lombardi.

"Ryan Tannehill seems to be heading to Miami. That's what I'm hearing," said Lombardi, who correctly predicted the Patriots drafting Ryan Mallett last year.

If the Dolphins want Tannehill, they'll have to take him at No. 8. "There's no way in the world the Seahawks are going to see Ryan Tannehill at 12," said Mike Mayock.

I agree with that. Many may think that No. 8 is too high for Tannehill, but think about what happened with Christian Ponder and Blaine Gabbert last year. Quarterbacks really get pushed up because of the demand at that position.

With that in mind, if Tannehill is off the board at No. 12 for the Seahawks, as Mayock projects, it wouldn't surprise me if Pete Carroll moves back a bit and takes either Brandon Weeden or Kirk Cousins later in the first round. Carroll really likes Cousins, and he may worry that the Michigan State product may not be there in Round 2. That may sound a bit crazy right now, but who would have thought that Ponder would be the 12th pick in the 2011 NFL Draft?

This means we are really rebuilding, and to be honest im very exited,Ryan tannehill is very similar to aaron rodgers in some ways, hes mobile i the pocket will scramble for a few yards, strong arm, his only downfall is to deep thro accuracy, and every rookie usually have that problem as a rookie...i think he will be great in a few years, maybe in his rookie year also.

Titans sign manning, then release hasslback, we draft tannehill and sign hasleback to groom tannehill in a year or 2

I don't understand why we would tip our hand even if that is the case.

I don't think it's about us tipping our hand really, but people taking educated guesses.

I mean, we are pushing hard for Manning, yet have almost shown no interest in Flynn.

We won't get Manning, so people assume we are going to fall back on the draft for our QB.

There's a chance Tannehill won't even be there at #8, forget the Seahawks.

That said, and I know some will laugh at this, I don't think Colt McCoy is the biggest problem in Cleveland. The biggest problem in Cleveland is, well, the ownership, the General Manager, the coach, and basically the entire team. The Browns are honestly probably better off grabbing Blackmon if he's there.

Seahawks and Browns are all we are competing with. One will get Flynn.

Could be our man....should he be our man?

Just like all the people who said we were sure to get Manning. All these guys are blowhards its starting to give me a headache , I say we sign Flynn & be done with this crap , this holding pattern sucks because all the top free agents arent waiting for us to get our $hit together.

Likey

I saw an interview of Tannehill and he reminds me of Chad Henne. I have never seen this kind of personality win in the NFL. He doesn't have a spark of emotion and seems very timid. QBs need to be confident in order to succeed.

Every analyst wants to link an available QB to the Dolphins 24/7, 365 days a year. Kolb, Young, Orton, Favre, Garrard, Flynn, Manning, now Tannenhill. People constantly associate us with a desperate need at QB, and while we do need one, we won't swing at every single guy. Phins will sign whoever they feel is the best fit. Having said that, Tannenhill at eight is a major reach.

Lombardi said on NFL Network Miami might have to trade up to #3 to get Tannehill before Cleveland takes him

JDAM ! Randy Learner has only ONE football team and It's not the one with a lakefront stadium I walk past on my way to work. It's the one that plays in Reading , England. One of CLE's sports-blab hosts summed it up best' If Randy could write a $1BIL check for a Superb owl championship, he couldn't get the pen out fast enough". He forgot the rest where he walks right down to Burk-Lakefront Airport and takes off the catch the next Aston-Villa match, never to see another Browns game b/c he sells the team.
