On the front screen on FH they have the question they have the WR job and one of the choices is Michael Malone..ive never heard of him so can anyone give me info on this guy? Is he any good?

Thanks

Son of Moses Malone. Big, strong type reciever, not a burner. Went to a smaller school-- I forget where. Signed as an undrafted FA. Probably just camp fodder.

May 17, 2007-The Miami Dolphins today signed wide receiver Michael Malone (pictured) and safety David Lofton as undrafted college free agents. Both players, who attended the Dolphins’ May 4-6 minicamp on a tryout basis, are the sons of Hall of Fame athletes.

Malone, 23, played his final two collegiate seasons at Sam Houston State (2005-06), during which time he totaled 38 receptions for 446 yards and five touchdowns. He had 23 catches for 250 yards and four scores as a senior. He spent his first two years at Virginia Tech (2003-04) prior to transferring. Born March 9, 1984, the 6-3, 210-pound Malone attended Friendswood (Texas) High School. He is the son of Moses Malone, who played 21 years of professional basketball (1974-95), including two in the ABA and 19 in the NBA, and was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2001.

So hes nothin special

I wouldnt say that.

honestly people on here throw around the term camp fodder like it's not ****.

If your invited into an NFL camp your an elite athlete. The NFL doesnt waste their time on scrubs.
What seperates players who make an NFL roster from those who get cut sometimes is very little.

Kurt Warner was once cut from the Green Bay Packers during camp. He won a SB and was Super Bowl XXXIV MVP.

I read a good report on him in one of the OTA reports, but he has been far overshadowed by David Sutton so far. Now that's a guy to watch in training camp -- if he shows as much in pads as he has in shells, he could steal a job.

Thanks for the info and the pic. Any chance he's as tall as his dad? We could use some height at WR... good hands, too.
